2005 Ford Mustang Description

You are bidding on a beautiful 2005 Mustang Saleen S281SC. This is 1 of just 31 Mineral Grey Saleens every built on the S197 platform and 2005 was thelast year that color was produced. It wasoriginally supercharged with 400hp to the crankand backed with a manual transmission.I have owned the car for 10 years and at one time used it as my daily but here more recently have only driven maybe 300 miles in the past 3 years. It's time to let someone else own it that will be able to enjoy it! It has been heavily modified, well know, been on vendor websites and can be seen on youtube. It stickered at 59K new and came optioned with HID Headlights, Front Big Brake Upgrade with cross drilled rotors, supercharger, Saleen exterior package, interior package, extractor hood and wing. I have around 25K - 30K invested in modificaitons on top of the vehicle cost. I did not buy 2nd hand parts, all were purchased direct from the vendors with no expense spared. The car has made over 700 rear wheel horsepower on pump gas, 18lbs of boostwith Bosch 80lb injectors, and 76mm precision turbo. The car had little low end power andsignificant turbo lag.
In the last 200 miles I have had some additional work done.
Morgan and Sonsinstalled custom forgedpistons and rings with slightly higher compression to bring it up from 8.2:1 to 9.0:1 to be more in line with the 2013 GT500 compression ratio. They also did a valve job$3,200When I got it back I used new Cometic gaskets andARP studs again for another $750I also replaced the Precision Journal Bearing turbo with a Precision 67mm Ball Bearing and the difference in how fast the boost spools is significantly better.$2,200I replaced the Bosch 80lb injectors with Ford Racing 60lb and currently running just 12lbs of boost. (The old 80lb injectors and 76mm turbo are not included in the sale)The whole intent of the change was to have a better low and midrange power curve that I could stay in vs waiting till I hit 5,000 rpms before making power. This is the best setup I have had on the car and I have run a ton of different combinations. The car still needs to bedyno tuned for what ever set up springs you want to go with whether it be 12lbs, 18lbs or more. The engine is fully forged, just gone through and ready for someone to enjoy.
The Saleen has always been garaged but does have some small scratches, rock chips, and lights curb rash on some of the wheels. It is absolutely gorgeous and gets tons of attention. The interior has wear as it was my daily driver early on, more on the driver seat and some of the radio buttons. The battery is relocated to the trunk for weight transfer therefore there is no jack or spare with the car. A/c, Heater, Gauges, radio allwork but the cd player does not. The onlybody damage was a couple of years after I got the car when some one dented my passenger rear quarter while parked at CVS. Payton Wright Ford in Grapevine repaired the quarter panel with a spot blend and you can not see any evidence of the previous dent. The car is loud, gets bad gas mileage, and has no catalytic converters but is a blast to drive. I have the clear Texas Title in hand and ready to sell to the next owner. There are some videos on YouTube where you can see and hear the car. You can search "2005 Saleen Idle" and "2005 Saleen Turbo Dyno" so you can see it in action. There are some videos of other dynos when supercharged as well.
Car is being sold as is where is with no warranty written or expressed. Bid with confidence as I have 100% Feedback!
