2005 Ford F-150 Description

Why would you buy a truck from a shady used car dealer with a less than perfect seller rating? Most of them know nothing about the history of the cars they sell, they don't care to, and they generally don't care about the customer. Here's your chance to buy a well loved vehicle from the original owner!
Up for sale is my beloved, and super pampered 2005 Ford F150 which has an audiophile quality $8,000 stereo system in it, plus MANY upgrades and extras. This truck was purchased new by me from Planet Ford in Spring, TX in December of 2004. It has NEVER been in an accident, smoked in, or abused by me in any way. It has been meticulously taken care of, fully serviced at every interval, and had theoil changed every 3-5K miles... and I've kept all the records associated with the maintenance as well as all the upgrades.
In fact, I just spent around $5,300 getting this truck ready for sale. Why? Because I don't sell things that are less than exceptional (see my feedback history), and plus, this truck deserved a little TLC for all the years of service it's given me.
Since Ebay has a 24 picturelimit, Icouldn'tincludescans of thereceipts for proof. However, I will be happy to message them to you if you're a serious buyer. These receipts include dates of service or goods purchased. Here's where the money went:
1. $1136 to Custom Car Stereo for swapping out my old amp with a brand new JL Audio HD600 plus installing a steering wheel control for the Alpine head unit
2.$850 to Custom Car Stereo for a new replacement Dynaudio Esotar2 E110 Tweeter (this is on another receipt for my new car's system... I won't be uploading a scan of that but you can pull the door grill off the front driver side and see the new speaker)
3. $295 to Tasca Parts for 2 new hood cowl grilles, 2 wiper arms, 2 license lamps, upper dash tray, andaccessories. Plus around $50 toAutoZone for new Bosch Icon wiper blades (no receipt for this but you can see they are new)
4. $554 to Greenfield's forrepainting the hood. Apparently it had little flecks of concrete all over it. Must have driven too close to a careless concrete truck!
5. $1617 to Santa Ana Auto Body for fixing door dings to the driver side and rear right passenger doors (from careless jerks parking next to me) as well as having the tailgate painted b/c it wasscratched up and had little dimples in it. After they detailed and buffed the truck I saw how bad the front bumper plastic cover looked from being faded, rock chips, etc. so I spent another $500 on them fixing that. It was removed, completely repainted, and then reinstalled. Done the right way!
6. $184 to Ripley's Mufflers for replacing the exhaust tips, which were badly rusted. The new ones are the stainless rolled kind and look awesome!
7. $74 for new front floor mats... I did replace the rear ones some time ago but can't find the receipt!
So let'stalk about what makes this F150 different than any other on Ebay: THE AUDIO SYSTEM!!! I'm a professional recording studio owner and this is the system I would reference all my mixes in. It's that good. Some luxury car dealers offer an upgraded 'audiophile' sound system and charge $4-6K for it.... I can tell you for certain they are charging 3-5 times more than they should and their systems don't sound anywhere near as good as this one. In fact, most of them sound pretty bad!
Getting back to the sound system in this truck.... If you're an audiophile you'll be amazed that a car's system can sound this good. If you're not an audiophile, then you'll be blown away because you've never heard music with such clarity, detail and balance.
The truck has Dynaudio Esotar 2-way speakers in the front, and the previous version of the Esotec 2-way speakers in the back, both now powered by a JL Audio HD600 (600 watts). The subs, which are under the back seat in a customenclosure are (2) 8" JL Audio subs, powered by a JL audio amp. There is a bass control knob installed in the center console if you'd like to adjust the level, but the 2 o'clockposition works great for most music. Although, these subs are only 8s, they are punchy as hell and very musical. As I said before, this is an extremely balanced system... not a bass heavy piece of crap from a generic chain car stereo shop. Everything was done by Custom Car Stereo in Houston, TX, which is by far the best caraudio shop in the city for the last several decades. Oh, and everything is dampened with Dynamat so nothing rattles or vibrates, even at loud volumes.
While this system costed me roughly $8K in 2007, to install a new equivalent system today with the more recent Dynaudio Esotar2 components (which sound almost identical to these), JL Audio subs and amplification you're looking at closer to $11,000. The cost of these manufacturer's speakers has gone WAY up in the past 9 years, and the labor would be nearly double. Ask me how I know, lol.
Plus this truck has many extras such as Navigation, Flowmaster Exhaust (sounds like a beast!), sunroof,Bedrug bed liner (like new), Leer Bed Cover, Fordfactoryrunning boards, power rear sliding window, factory alarm, powered and heated Captain seats in the front, electronically adjustable foot pedals, backup sensors, towing package with hitch included, and a newerwindshield which replaced within the last few years.
I'm alsohappy to email or message you recent service records which show that the last oil change was done 2000 miles ago -- approximately 10 months ago (the truck hasn't been driven much since I got my new vehicle). Before that, in mid 2014 I had the throttle bodies cleaned and plugs changed when the truck had 133,400 miles on it, at a cost of $695. And prior to that, in early 2014, with 128K miles on it, the truck had a majorservice done at a cost of over $3200. Almost every service that I had performed (except basic oil changes) was with Planet Ford's service department. Pricey... yes, but the truck is in excellent condition todaybecause of it.
You will not find a better F150 with this many miles on it. Is it perfect? No. The paint has little things here and there, but no dings, dents, or major defects anywhere b/c I got all of those fixed. The truck looks as though it'sonly a few years old, at most. The tireshave good tread and several thousand miles to go and the wheels are inexcellent condition. The few little things I can think of are 1) in the center stereo section next to the driver vent, there are two little indentations in the grey molded plastic from when my previous head unit was stolen... easily seen in the pics. 2) There are some scuff marks around the kick panels and lower hard plastic on the doors. These are inevitable. 3) The spare tire lock is missing from the rear bumper. Easy to replace if you choose to.
But as you can see in the pictures, the truck is in stellar condition inside and out. No rips in the seats, the leather is great, the dash is perfect, etc. And don't forget about the insane stereo system!!!
I will consider all reasonable offers so please don't hesitate to contact me or submit one. Lowball offers will be automatically rejected though.
I will ship to the continental U.S. but shipping cost is the buyer's responsibility. Local pickup is also welcome as long as you have a decent Ebay feedback history and payment is made prior to. You can even come check out the truck before purchasing but I will need a copy of your driver's license beforehand.
Payment is due within 48 hours of purchasing.
Any questions just ask. Best of luck!
