In 1990, Ford marked the 35th anniversary of the Thunderbird with a special edition factory supercharged Super Coupe. Finished in black with titanium-colored lower panels, a dark blue accent stripe and commemorative "35th Anniversary" badges, just 3,371 examples were built. Ford was serious enough about preventing counterfeit cars that the fender badges were designed to disintegrate if removed, and to protect the cars, each came with a custom-fitted cover supplied by the same company that sews covers for Rolls-Royce.
This is a clean title, low mileage rust free car only 60,233 miles! Stock & original except I updated the A/C this summer so it blows crisp cold air! Exterior does have a couple small body dents on roof, normal paint chips, scrapes, and a few touch ups for an original paint job that is 27 years old but for most part its in excellent shape. The rear bumper was repainted at some point other than that paint is original. Interior is all original leather and suede also in good shape for being 27 years old.
This car is nearing 30 years old and its rarity, the factory color combo with black wheels and black/grey/blue interior colors were forward thinking for its time. This super coupe has many upgraded options including power sunroof doors locks & windows, automatic transmission, JBL sound system, and still has nearly all of the 35th Anniversary accessories that came from the dealership. The passenger power window is not functioning right now and the power door locks sometimes work. These factors are taken into conIsideration for the starting bid price.
