1963 Ford Galaxie Description

I'm listing this for my brother-in-law as he was diagnosed with a very bad illness and had to give up his license. I've worked on it a bit myself. He's not sure of many details about the car. He bought it from his son a few years ago.
Body and paint are excellent. There's not much more to say about it. It is very flashy and attracts a great deal of attention - more than my black '40 Ford. 18" rims in front, 20" in back. All the emblems and trim are extremely nice. Bumpers and grille are near perfect. The interior is very nice as well. The only exception is the door entry scuff plates which are ripply as shown in one of the pictures. Everything works fine including the power top which looks very fresh. I looked for problem areas and didn't find any other than the scuff plates and the fact that it's got Flowmaster mufflers which I think should be a bit quieter, but he likes it a little on the loud side.
I didn't jack the car up, but I know there is zero rust or other damage to the frame or anything else underneath. I couldn't find any rust at the bottom of the fenders or doors. This is a solid and honest car that has not been fluffed up to sell.
9" rear end of course, probably non-posi 3.23 or thereabouts, air shocks to change the rear ride height, newer exhaust system, nothing beat up or ratty-looking under the car. C6 transmission that works fine. P/S, P/B, sound system. As I recall, there was a very slight leak at the pinion seal but not enough to leave a spot on the floor even after a few weeks. All the lights, horn, etc., work fine.
It has 427 emblems but no one seems to know the actual specs on the motor. I can tell you that it has Edelbrock heads and intake manifold and an Edelbrock carburetor. If you can tell me how to ID the motor I can do that. The engine has no problems and has never given him any issues. Edelbrock water pump, electric fan, Mallory distributor and coil. I'm leaving out the items that you can see in the pictures. I will stake my eBay reputation on the idea that you won't be disappointed or surprised about anything when you check it out. Feel free to look at it yourself or send an agent who knows cars.
If there's something specific you need to know about it, please phone me at 805-524-3971 or email me through eBay and I'll try my best to get an answer. I'm pretty sure it's been a Southern California it's whole life. Chuck has just driven the car and enjoyed it during his ownership. He never had to do any major work to it. His son told him that he was the third or fourth owner. My personal opinion is that it's a very straight, pretty car that has never been subjected to abuse or hack-up modifications by inexperienced owners.
An escrow that's agreed to by both parties would be the best way to go. I can help him ship the car overseas as we live close to Long Beach. This car would stop traffic in Europe!
