2001 Ford F150 XLT Supercrew
2001 Ford F-150 Lariat Description
This was an incredible vehicle for many miles and still could be used as a farm truck or, with some work, could be brought back to roadworthy for those who love the older model F150s. It could also be used for parts, of course. It has almost new tires with very little milage. The engine still runs but has one failing cylinder, the cause is unknown, but that cylinder has no compression so clearly more complicated than a faulty coil. The idle air control valve likely needs to be replaced as it will conk out while stopped in drive but OK when you flip into neutral. I have change this once which fixed the problem but now it has returned a year later. Neutral safety switch also needs replacement. There are rust issues at the bottom of the cab which, I understand, is not uncommon in this year and model. Cosmetics are nothing to brag about. The clear coat appears to be lifting in spots and there are dents that reflect that this has been a work truck. Air conditioning is not functional last I check cause is not known. Four wheel drive is functional. I am due registration on the car on the last of September so if I don't sell it in the next 2 weeks I plan to give it to charity. Buyer must arrange for removal from my property as it has lapsed on its inspection. Further questions: call 304-379-4361.
