Mechanically and cosmetically this car is sound. It's the 2005 Ford Five Hundred Limited. The Limited is fully loaded with dual leather power seats, heated seats, alloy wheels, power moonroof, etc. It's FWD and doesn't have the CVT transmission. This is good because the early CVT transmissions tend to have problems. You'll avoid that here. Plenty of tread on the tires. It wasn't that many miles ago that all 4 brakes were replaced (rotors and pads). It's been a 2nd car for many years and garage kept. A couple years ago when the battery needed replaced, we bought the expensive DieHard brand. Worth it for the strong starts even on cold Cleveland winter mornings. The radio is aftermarket as you can see in the photos. It has bluetooth handsfree, bluetooth music, USB connection, and AUX connection. You can buy another factory radio for cheap if you want to go that route. The photos document rust spots. This is an Ohio car and rust is a fact of the snow/salt. Front Passenger window doesn't go down, the motor seems to have burnt out so it's stuck in the up position. This is approximately $320 to repair at a shop. Car has been reduced $500 to account for this. You can decide if it's worth fixing. Never bothered me enough to spend the money though. Overall this is a solid vehicle that we're only selling because we don't need a second car anymore. |
