1974 Ford Maverick Grabber Tribute Description

While many Mavericks were sold new, few remain today. Beginning life as an original six cylinder example, this 1974 Ford Maverick is presented as a 1980's / 1990's street machine with a "Grabber" dual-scoop hood, orange paint, and polished Torq-Thrust Wheels on fat radial tires. where a thrifty six once resided, power is now delivered by a hot small block Ford V-8 engine equipped with an Edelbrock intake and four-barrel carb under an open-element air cleaner, chrome rocker covers, and tubular headers. Power meets the pavement with a B&M floor shifted automatic transmission and the tires are planted by a period style "slapper" traction bars mounted to the rear suspension. If you like to cruise in an old school street machine with a rare body style that is ready to enjoy, this 1974 Ford Maverick is an enjoyable and fun alternative. This car was purchased from a long time estate collection.

Upon inspection this car drives out well and has an impressive presence. We have drove this car approximately 25 miles and it seems to ride and drive well. Upon purchase we changed the oil & filter, tuned the carburetor, replaced the battery, and replaced the fan belt. The paint on the car displays very well with normal wear and minor areas of loss (as pictured). The lights and gauges are in working order but we were not able to get the wipers to work. The under carriage shows normal wear and minor areas of corrosion. Overall this Maverick is a great car that is being offered at a very affordable price. Mileage on the odometer can not be verified. Car is being sold with unknown miles or "mileage exempt".
