1968 Ford Mustang GT-A Coupe, Factory V8 Automatic.
Listing for a friend who has had much of the restoration work already completed. He has owned this car for many years and is relocating out of state and would prefer to sell the car before he moves. He has already replaced both quarter panels. The original floors are in great condition and the car has been sanded down, primed and is just about ready for paint. Doors and hood, trunk are loose bolted only and require final adjustment. Body is in great shape, very solid.
V-8 car with Automatic transmission. Includes many new parts, interior seat covers,new headliner, dual exhaust system. Has a stock V-8 engine, (302) same "year code" but not original to the car. Also has the original automatic transmission. Both are ready for rebuild, or upgrade this beauty and build the "Ultimate Pro Touring Ride".
VIN Tag (on Passenger side dashboard reads): 8T01J143741, my understanding is 8 denotes 1968, T = Metuchen, NJ Mfg. Plant, 01 = 2 Door Hardtop, J= Optional 230 HP, 302 C.I. With 4 Barrel carb. I am not an expert but thought this information may be helpful to verify the origins of the vehicle.
This is a project car that needs finishing, it is also a great investment as the value of these cars has been steadily increasing over the years. Engine and transmission are not installed but will be included in the sale. Many additional parts will be included as well, I will update this listing soon.
