1999 (Early) F250 Superduty 7.3L Powerstroke 6spd Manual 4WD
1999 Ford F-250 Description
NO RESERVE SOLD AS IS, truck for a mechanic's project, parts, or a farm truck. 141667 miles. This truck does not have a current inspection, but it does run and drive.
For sale is my personal 1999 (early) F250 Superduty with a 7.3 L Powerstroke, 6spd manual transmission (Low, 1,2,3,4,Overdrive, and Reverse), and 4WD.
This is a stock truck. Manual hubs, no A/C, cruise control, cd player, or power anything. Engine is unmodified except for the aftermarket air intake. This truck comes with a working jack and non-matching spare. It does not come with the pictured ball hitch.
HISTORY: I bought this truck used in 2007. At that time it had 93,000 miles, had been used at least in part as a plow truck, and had the left rear body damage shown in pictures from backing into something. I used the truck as a daily driver from 2007 until 2012, and since then I have used it only occasionally for hardware store runs and pulling enclosed trailers to move my home. It was in one accident (a 5mph bump in a parking lot) in 2009 for which it needed no repairs because the bumper wasn't even dented.
THE BAD: This truck is rusty as hell and will not pass inspection without a lot of work:1. The check engine light appeared once (and only once) two months ago, went away by itself, and has not reappeared since. There was no perceptible problem with the engine/power and I have not investigated it further.2. ABS light (but brakes are stiff, strong, and new)3. Parking brake broken (front cable needed, every cable behind that is new)4. Fuel tank straps rusted thru and the fuel tank is attached with chains but still sends fuel to engine5. Spare tire included but underside frame mount is broken off.6. Exhaust works fine, but muffler is shedding an outer layer due to rust7. Body damage and rust as seen in pictures8. Passenger mirror is cracked and broken, driver's mirror was repaired and fixed in place (cannot adjust)9. Engine leaks oil onto the ground, but not enough to require refills in between changes. See oil marks on my driveway under the truck, which is from six months of leaking.10. Driver's side running board has rusted off.
THE GOOD:1. Tires: BFGs have about 3000 miles on them.2. Good on cold start (a little rough/smokey in winter though), runs, rolls, steers, and brakes.3. 4WD and transmission have zero problems.4. Fluid changes: She had amsoil when a daily driver, recently running on Mobil Delvac. Transmission, and both axles changed with amsoil at around 100,000. Coolant flushed twice since I've owned it.5. Many replaced parts including u joints, axle bearings, shocks, clutch master cylinder, Warn hubs, brake lines that rusted thru over the years, etc. I did almost all of the work on this truck, so please ask.
I have tried to describe this truck as best as possible. Please ask me any questions or ask to come and see the truck for yourself (list your times available in message). Payment is in cash with a $200 paypal deposit due within 48 hours of the auction's end. There is a messenger service by my house, where we can transfer the title and you can register the vehicle in your name if you plan on driving it. You are responsible for all messenger service fees.
Thank you and happy bidding!
