Up For Sale Is Our 2003 Ford Explorer Sport! Great Little Truck With Lots Of Power! Body shows it's 14 Years Though
We bought this truck and then also got a 4 door Eddie Bower Edition. My wife liked that one better so the Sport was driven very lightly. It's still being driven daily for short trips as it's not inspected. Here are the con's & pro'sCon's:The body needs some work. I've tried to show all the damaged and/or rusty areas in the pics, It is 14 years old and given most of the rust is surface a body guy will be able to make her beautiful again in no time! It should pass PA inspection as there are no holes that I've seen going into the cab area.It needs a windshield for PA state inspection, I priced this out and they all came in at $200.00 installed with warranty. I'm a PA state inspection mechanic and went over the truck. The tires may be close but everything else was good. As far as I know that's where the bad ends.The Pro's:It shows 203,000 Miles on the odo but the guys who owned it before me built and raced Ford vehicles and I was told the Engine and Trans were overhauled about 25,000 miles ago. The way it runs and shifts led me to not doubt them a bit! The 4x4 works great as well!Also, the truck is pretty well loaded. The air is ice cold, the heat very warm. The driveline and motor are solid and reliable. It has the premium sound system for that year so if you like to play your music loud this truck will work out great.I didn't get the chance to go over it with a fine tooth comb, so to speak, but I did replace several small items that weren't working when I bought it. It has remote keyless entry and keyless entry on the door but the code has to be found. I had it for such a short time that I could only fix the things as I found an issue. Overall this would make a great, very reliable truck for anyone! Right now a friend of mine uses it to make short local trips and a few long trips to see her mom. She has fallen in love with the truck but is unable to come up with the money to buy it.We are also willing to take payments on the truck if we can agree on a suitable down payment and monthly payments that pay it off within 12 months at 1% interest.Please contact me with any questions you may have or to set up a time to come and look at it.
