Just retired from the City of Fort Worth. The city retires its vehicles at 100K miles or 6 years whichever comes first. The city is meticulous in maintaining their vehicles. Every suggested service is completed every time on time. That is the advantage when buying a fleet vehicle, you know it has been well maintained. I have spoken at length with their service manager.
I personally drove this vehicle home from Fort Worth to Shreveport. That is over a 200 mile trip. It performed wonderfully. A/C blows ice cold. With the 17" tires it has a good ride also. Plenty of power with the 4.6 V8!
These vehicles are commonly used in police and taxi fleets. The reason for this is their longevity. I have personally driven a different crown victoria with over 400,000 miles before and I can tell you these vehicles last a long time. With the low mileage on this one you have a lot of life left in it.
When the vehicle got here I had it painted in 8555 black. It is shiny and beautiful! That alone cost $900. This is NOT a maaco paint job. It is a professional paint job done at a local shop. I also had my mechanic certify the vehicle and he said the alternator was putting out about 12.6 volts and it should be around 14 so I told him to go ahead and replace it.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to purchase a low mileage crown victoria. They no longer make them and they are getting harder and harder to find.
