1972 FORD MUSTANG....BLACK ON BLACK.....V8
1972 Ford Mustang -- Description
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION we have for sale a good looking 1972 Mustang Fastback/Sportback. The black paint is nice, the 302 engine runs good, the automatic transmission shifts good, the black interior is in nice condition. The car looks just right with American Racing Torque Thrust D wheels, wing on back, spoiler on lower front and the black on black paint and interior. VIN 2F02F137467 the title numbers and the body tag match and we have a clear title. HOW IS THE BODY? I see no rust bubble in the paint, the floors look original and good, the frame extensions are solid, the underside looks extra solid to me. Maybe a little metal patch on the rear drop downs, but very good on the bottom. The under side has not been sanded smooth and detailed, its just a solid old classic. HOW IS THE PAINT? The paint looks like Raven black with a little very fine metallic added. The shine is very good, the body is straight when I look down the sides, I see no rust bubbles or big dents. A couple of touched up chips and tiny flaws. In my opinion the paint is nice, its not a perfect $20,000 show queen job to haul to the show in a trailer, but it looks real good. Like most black car you could buff it a little more. By the paint code the car was born red, but don't it look good black. All lips and under sides of hood, trunk and door jambs were painted black. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? Good interior, seat cover good, nice carpet, dash pad good, door panels good, headliner good with minor wrinkles. HOW IS THE ENGINE? Its a good running 302, it starts and runs good and is detail fair with chrome valve covers and air cleaner. If you start it in a enclosed garage when cold it will puff a little smoke for a minute. Its a good engine, 302s are bad about that when the valve stem seals get old. HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a good shifting C4 automatic. HEAD LIGHTS WORK! TAIL LIGHTS WORK! BRAKE LIGHTS WORK! TURN SIGNALS WORK RADIO WORKS! WIPERS WORK! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! GAS GUAGE WORKS! HOW DOES THE CAR DRIVE? I consider it driving good, it is power steering. HOW DOES THE CAR STOP? I consider it stopping good for 4 wheel drum brakes with no power assist. HOW ARE THE WHEELS AND TIRES? New 15 inch American Racing Torque Trust D wheels with new tires. WHERE IS THE CAR LOCATED? Athens, Tennessee 37303. CONTACT INFORMATION: Ron Watson telephone is 423-506-8987 DIRECT EMAIL IS: dreamcar@live.com
