2004 Ford Mustang Roush 380R Description

A very Rare 2004 Roush 380r. Not only did they Ford only make this color, crimson red, in 2004 for the fortieth anniversary package, but this is one of only 3 380r built from the anniversary package. And the only 2004 380r I've seen with the Roush boost Guage and fuel pressure Guage. This Roush is a show queen, it's won to many trophys to count. The crimson red paint sparkles in the sun and I think it's the best color ford has ever produced. The super charger, head covers, brackets, etc, under the hood are all power coated to match the car. The rear end and axel housing is powered coated along with the Roush subframe connectors to match the car . Even the Roush Alcon 4 piston brake calibers are powered coated to match the car. Instead of The vinyl hood and trunk stripes, actual stripes were chosen to be painted and clear coated. I was told the previous owner spent about $17,000 above the Ford and Roush window sticker for those transformations. This 380r to my knowledge has every available option offered with a total of $30,094 above the vehicles msrp not including the above mentioned items.
2 years ago I tracked down the now previous owner of this car after seeing it online. He was a gm at a Ford dealership. I talked him into selling me this Roush, which was no easy task. This was a dream car of mine since it came out in 2004 while I was in college. Obviously being a college student a well over $60,000 car was out of the question, and that price was in 2004. Making it one of the most expensive mustangs ever at that time. Words cannot describe the joy and sounds this Roush makes. It sounds like a 60s muscle car idling and full blown race car when accelerating. The super charger whine is extremely addictive. The Roush stage 3 suspension is a perfect fit and handles perfectly. You can Google the zero to 60 times and quarter mile specs but I can tell you there underrated. As cliche as it sounds every where I go I get asked about this car. Just like the previous owner, I've always kept it in a temperature controlled environment. Obviously there's no rust, rips, tears, dings, etc. Top still looks brand new.
