1979 Ford F150 4X4 Regular cab short box for sale. This truck has been my daily driver for almost two years. I am a certified master mechanic in Michigan, and have done everything necessary to make this a very dependable every day driver year round. Excellent first truck for a teenager, or use as a toy. Recent work done to this truck includes rear drum brakes rebuilt, heater core replaced, blower motor replaced, rear u-joints replaced, New battery, starter solenoid, starter, and all battery cables. Tires in excellent condition with appx. 75% tread remaining. New rear step bumper. This is an all original 79 in Michigan, so it has various spots of rust as can be seen in the pictures, and the bed floor and cab floor have some rust through. Drivetrain and frame are solid and in excellent condition. Front end is solid and you can cruise 70+ straight down the freeway with plenty of pedal left over. 351M 2V in original condition, plenty of power, gives a puff of blue smoke when you first start it, and clears up immediately. Very dependable engine, with plenty of power. C6 3 speed automatic has always had clean fluid, and functions, perfectly. Transfer case and front axle in proper working order, 4x4 shifter is smooth and does not bind. rear tailgate doesn't match the truck, but operates correctly. Bench seat is torn on drivers side but still comfortable. In my opinion the truck looks a little bit better in the pictures than in person, but the truck does receive compliments everywhere it goes. Again, this is not a show truck, but a tried and true driver. I drive it with a historical plate which is a 10 year registration for $30, but you may want a standard plate if having a teen drive it. A few unique features on this f150 are a key locking hood pull under the dash, dual front shocks per front wheel like a bronco, and under hood fender and hood braces I haven't seen on many of these type of trucks. Almost like an off road package, the tow hooks appear factory as well.
