1967 Ford Mustang Convertible Description

This one is only for the collectors, car lovers, and drivers. You're looking at an ultra-rare, code-76B, 1967 Ford Mustang convertible that's fresh from a full bare metal restoration by the experts at Blue Ridge Performance. Before we get to the details of the amazing restoration, let's catch up those who don't understand how special this droptop is. Convertibles have historically the lowest volume production of all of the first generation Mustang numbers, but the code-76B Luxury model makes this the absolute rarest of the breed, unless you want to put up with the ugly bench seat model. And this car doesn't do unattractive. It wears Ford's Wimbledon White color with pride thanks to a two-year restoration that took the body down to bare metal. This made sure the panels were the straightest and truest before a modern application of the iconic color. The result is like porcelain on wheels. But as shiny as the paint is, it's no match for stellar condition of the chrome on places like the bumpers, grille, taillight surround, rocker panels, and the Mustang badging on the fender. Of course it didn't hurt that Blue Ridge Performance took their time to fit these with absolute precision. This one also doesn't miss out on the details with the wire wheel that include the Mustang pony center cap, and the Deluxe hood with functional turn signals embedded in the vents. The story on this car was that the black vinyl interior was already pretty amazing before the restoration. The pieces that did not need to be replaced were polished to make them look their best. It gives an authentic feeling to all of the main components that most like to brag about everything from the seats to the gauges to the AM/FM radio. Even the trunk is immaculate. But there are a few elements that don't stand up over a half-century in a car, and that's usually the carpets and the power folding roof. So those were replaced. It gives this convertible a confident presence with the top up or down. With the level of care that has gone into restoring this convertible going so far, the show-ready condition of the 289 cubic-inch V8 shouldn't be a surprise. You could nearly eat off the factory-correct blue on the engine block, valve covers, and air cleaner. But beyond the immaculate appearance, there is the heart of a reliable driver's car. During the restoration, this V8 received a complete valve job, new Holley four-barrel carburetor, new fuel pump, new hoses, new wires, and an aluminum radiator. You can take this vintage Mustang on the long trips with confidence thanks to the three-speed automatic transmission, restored Ford 8-inch rear end with all-new seals, all-new suspension components, and all-new brake components. But as much as we mention this freshly restored classic's ability to be the perfect road companion, you might want to take a look at the undercarriage photos first. This one is so detailed and immaculate everywhere right down to the fender wells that it is like a work of art. It is as nice underneath as it is on top! It's amazingly restored to look like a beautiful showpiece on top, as well as underneath, and its mechanical elements have been made effortlessly reliable. Do you show it off with mirrors for the undercarriage, or drive it everywhere? We suggest you do both. Call today!!
