1999 F250 4x4 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel Clean and rust free Texas truck
1999 Ford F-250 Description
1999 F-250 Super Duty 7.3L 6spd 4x4 crew cab short bed for saleI looked hard for this truck when I bought it 11 years ago with 120k miles on it. I have taken good care of it, and it has been a great truck. Idrove it as my daily driver for about 9 years, then the last 3 I only used it to tow my race car or wife's horse, and haul a camper.-Heavy duty 6 speed manual transmission-Power windows and power locks-Power towing mirrors that extend-Sliding rear window-Upgraded 46 gallon factory replacement fuel tank (which is awesome! 400+ mile range towing and 600+ miles empty)-Bilstein shocks with probably 15k miles on them-Recent Wagner Thermoquiet Ceramic brake pads (which work amazing and have nearly no break dust!)-Edge programmer and scanner set in tow mode. This model truck was pretty weak from the factory. The lowest setting on the programmer really wakes it up and makes it much more drivable.
-Isspro boost and EGT gauges - never over 1250F pre-turbo and I keep it under 1100F for anything longer than 30 seconds
-Ford optional heavy duty air cleaner-3" down pipe-Walker BTM high flow muffler in stock exhaust. Sounds and runs good. Not too loud.-SouthBend Con O Clutch with single mass flywheel installed at 120k miles with kevlar bushing and HD fork. Still holds strong - butthere is a bad spot on the flywheel. Occasionally whentrying to start it the starter will grind.
-Iphone / iPod stereo adapter and charger-Tekonsha Prodigy trailer brake controller that automatically proportions trailer brakes depending on how hard you are stopping-Removable ball gooseneck hitch-Engine rebuilt with all International parts at 130k miles-Injectors and injector harnesses replaced at 130k miles-Firestone rear air bags-Factory rear overload leaf springs-Starter replaced at about 260k
-I just changed oil and filter - always used Chevron Delo or ShellRotella and Motorcraft or Wix filters
-285/75-16 Michelin load range E tires rated at 3750lbs /ea in good condition. Rear tires were jost rotated from front. They have some insidewear because the last alignment was not done well. The truck was just aligned correctly so the front tire wear should be normal now.FULL DISCLOSURE:
The truck does have some bumps and bruises that I would consider to be expected with the age and miles. It could be made nearly perfect with a bit of PDR and touch up paint. I hit the right front corner pretty hard about 3 years ago. I replaced the bumper and sheetmetal, and pulled the front inner fender back straight. It is not perfect by any means, but looks very presentable and drives well. I tried to capture any blemishes in the photos. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and I will get you an answer and take more detailed pictures as required.
Also have a matching Leer camper shell if interested.SHIPPING:
If you are an out of town buyer, I can either pick you up at the airport (I would not hesitate to drive this truck cross country today), or help to arrange and facilitate shipping at your expense. I have had very good luck in general with Uship.
This is a very solid, tough and clean truck that has been well maintained and has lots of life left! Call, text or email with any questions or to come take a look!Jeff Davis 512-801-2408
