It was manufactured by Ford in November of 2000. I bought it at an auto auction in October 2013.
It is completely stock, except for the Steeda Cold Air intake on the engine. (installed by a previous owner)
The following upgrades / repairs have been done in the last 3 years:
This is a fun summer car. I did not drive it in the winter (sat at my warehouse). Tracks straight, No leaks, uses a little oil...say a quart every 2000 miles or so. Not unusual for a car this age. No smoke at all. As mentioned above, Cruise control gave out about 3 months ago. Have not tried to get it fixed. I drive this car 5 miles from home to office every day. CD Changer has never worked. But the AM/FM works fine. Pictures show my Sirrius/XM satellite mount. That is not included. I will be removing that. Passenger side headlight works, but has a lose piece of plastic in it. I just ignore it. Tires still have some tread left, but you better plan on buying a set in the next 5000 miles. The set I put on in 2013 cost about $500. They have about 20,000 miles on them.
It is not a show car. Has lots of nicks, scratches. I have covered them with the Dr. Color Chip paint touch up kit. Looks great from 10 feet away...but you can see lots of minor cosmetic issues up close. I drive it easy. No dropping the clutch. No drag racing. I just put the top down and cruise... :)
Drivers seat has some tears in it. See picture. I also mentioned above replacing the "H" Pipe. This is the part of the exhaust system with 4 catalytic converters. I have a friend who is a mechanic at a Ford dealership nearby. He pulled a stock "H" pipe off his Cobra and installed it on my car. It had about 30K miles on it. Perfect condition. I did this because at the time, one of the catalytic converters had failed and was throwing an error code (check engine light). Instead of replacing the cat, I just swapped it all for $500 installed...
The convertible top is now 2 years old...and still looks brand new. No rips, tears, nothing. The power top goes up and down perfect. The new top cost $1150, but it was worth it.
Make me an offer. Looking for a good home. Someone who will enjoy driving it...
