1987 Ford Mustang Description

OVERVIEW
This black beauty is super-clean and straight as an arrow with 82k original miles on the odometer. Lots of new suspension upgrades, a fresh repaint with all new trim, and 17x9 inch '95 Cobra R-style wheels give this Fox body a mean stance and really make it stand out. Best of all, the car pulls like a demon for being practically stock. One of those rare speed-density Foxes that responded VERY well to free-flowing exhaust.

HISTORY
A true Vermont survivor car with two previous owners, ordered with no AC, and neither power windows nor power door locks.
MECHANICAL
The engine is basically all OEM stock, and has never been disassembled. Some mild modifications include a BBK cold air kit with BBK 70mm throttle body, under drive pulleys, aluminum radiator, and Flowmaster mufflers with MAC H-pipe. Fresh oil/filter change with new Motorcraft cap, rotor, and plugs, and new Felpro valve cover gaskets. The car runs very well, an pulls hard in every gear.
Brake system has been fully serviced with a new master cylinder, new brake pads (front), new brake shoes (rear), and all new DOT4 brake fluid.
ELECTRICAL
Everything functions as it should, including all exterior/interior lighting, instrument cluster, gauges, blower motor, lighter, and horn (new horn pad installed).
CHASSIS/UNDERCARRIGE
Never wrecked or damaged. No major rust of any kind; solid torque boxes and strut towers (see photos).
SUSPENSION
Brand-new and completely upgraded with the following: SVE 1.5” lowering springs with Prothane isolators, SVE caster/camber plates, KYB shocks and struts, Prothane sway bar mount bushings, Prothane sway bar end links, and a new 15:1 ratio steering rack with Prothane offset mount bushings.
Car will be professionally aligned locally prior to pickup based on purchaser’s driving preferences.
BODY
The first owner had the car repainted in 2014 (original black car), with installation of a steel 2” cowl hood. It’s a VERY good black paint job, and all new trim was installed afterwards, including rear quarter windows, body moldings, cowl, and outer door belts. A set of new clear headlights has been installed.
INTERIOR
The cloth LX interior is an 8.8 out of 10, with no tears, rips, or stains. Carpet clean throughout, with new floor mats. No cracks or discoloration in any of the plastic trim pieces, including dash. Functioning ash-tray door! With the exception of some fading on the top of the rear seats and kick panels in the rear hatch area, everything is fairly well preserved. Headliner, door panels, and center console are all excellent. Radio and speakers have been updated.
