1961 Ford Ranchero – 302 V8 project
This is a non-running project that I just don’t have time to finish. I bought it running with the original 170 straight six and I then started a v8 conversion. I am a professional mechanic with both ASE and Ford Master Certifications and all work has been done with a great attention to detail.
Mechanically - this car/truck will require little time or investment to get it up and running. All Electrical Harnesses are included and are in great shape. All Glass is in excellent condition. All doors, tailgate, and hood open/close/latch as they should. Nothing is missing. Mileage shows 029201 and odometer works, but I can't imagine that the miles are really that low .
Cosmetically - It will require a significant investment of time and effort. There is rust and a few dents. A full-body stripping, rust repair, and painting will be needed if you want a show-car look.
Fully rebuilt “XXX” block 302 ( Rebuilt by Joey’s Engines/Houston,TX). The block is notched for a 347 stroker crank, but it currently has the standard 302 crank in it. The cranks are easily swapped without even loosening the engine mounts. You just lower the brand new after-market front cross-member and lower the pan.
