1971 Ford Galaxie Description

I am reluctantly selling my Galaxie 500 project car. I was restoring a low-production LTD, and I no longer have the time or place to finish. its running and driving right now, and car comes with all the necessary parts to finish, or modify as you wish. The LTD was a one of 138, (Marty report comes with the car) heavily equipped with floor shift, and 429 4 barrel, dual exhaust etc. This mostly rust-free Galaxie was the donor car body, but it was so much better condition I swapped most of the LTD parts into it instead. I cannot ship, but I candrive it to a shipping depot here locally if needed. Car runs and drives, and has brand new tires last month, but I haven't driven it very far yet, so I don't know if I would drive cross-county or not. The LTD had/has Ford 9-inch axle with limited slip, cruise control, tilt wheel, rear defrost (grid) air bag rear suspension,(not installed on this car, only a few parts of that system were left) and a host of other features, the Galaxie has fewer options, but the shed full of parts comes with the car. Its running but will still need work to be nice. new tires and exhaust system. The galaxie was a 351 car as noted in the VIN. I have the Vin tags and new decal for the LTD as well. the LTD (VIN 1J62N179158) although it was a california car, it was originally purchased by a Navy Aviator, spent a lot of time seaside and was just too rusted out to save. so everything was getting swapped into the Galaxie body and frame at that point.

According to the Marti report it was one of 138 with this paint and trim. it (the LTD) was built in June of 71 so it was one of the last ones built. The Galaxie comes with a rust free tailight panel and everything included to make it the original LTD again if you wish. but the Title is for the Galaxie.
