Here's a fun one we recently took on trade. This is a monster of a pickup, a little difficult to list everything, but on the short, it's a fully custom built no expense spared low mileage lariat crew short bed 04 Superduty with a diesel. Just about everything on the truck is custom or gone through. It has fire-ringed cylinder head with head stud kit, stage 3 ATS fuel system with oversize injectors, Aurora 3000 turbo sytem, custom intake, exhaust, plumbing for propane, and a solid tune. The transmission is a built ATS model, truck has been geared to 4:56, sitting on 38.5" tires on 20" fuel wheels, well detailed and comprehensive custom suspension lift with Dynatrac cross over steering, and double shocks at all corners. More detailed parts list of what we know listed below. The truck has been very well kept and it's had 30k miles or more on the buildout so this is a solid setup. In summary, yes, you can go out and spend well over $100k building a superduty, not the greatest investment, but we're hoping the new owner will enjoy this truck for a fraction of that as much as the 1st owner enjoyed building it.

The paint and body on this pickup are in good shape and it looks original except the hood which is custom. It still maintains nice gloss, no rust, hail, or body damage to speak of. The truck has been in Colorado all its' life and we don't salt the roads, so even the undercarriage looks real nice. The doors all open and close fine, bed has been Rhino Lined and looks good, has a high-jack out back and a nice aluminum tool box. The bumpers are custom and it has a massive 15klb winch up front. I don't believe we have a controller for it, but the unit looks like it's never been used. The wheels are in pretty good shape, not new but good, tires all have good even tread and aren't too choppy. They're swampers but they've been rotated regularly. The truck has a few light scratches on the body and fender flares like anything used, but nothing too deep, even they could probably be all buffed out easily. There's some road wear on the lower rockers from not having mud flaps. The windshield is new. The photos show it well, definitely very clean, just not brand new.

The cabin is nice and clean as well. It doesn't smell like smoke at all. The leather is all in good shape just a small worn spot on the drivers side bolster. If you want that replaced we can do it for about $100. The carpet shows light wear, we have floor mats for it. The truck just has 1 key, no remote included, but I'll try to program one up for it. Everything works inside, air blows nice and cold, stereo sounds great but I'd swap the head unit for something more modern. Power to the speakers is all handled by the amps behind the seating. We installed some shorty side steps, I'm 6' tall and it's fine to get in and out of.

This pickup fires easy and has good batteries and glow plugs which were done about 30k ago when they built the motor. It came in with leaky valve covers so we replaced the gaskets which I'm sure you know is a lot of work on these. We've driven it about 100 miles since and I can't see anything leaking. The trans fluid is nice and red and it shifts well, definitely a built tranny. I'll try and cross the serial with ATS and see which stage the trans is, hopefully a stage 5 :). We replaced the alternator while it was here, and 3 of the tie-rods, and both front stabilizer shocks. It also has a new reman steering box. Given the list above I'm sure you can understand the truck scoots, lots of power, and lots of black smoke when you lay into it. The truck did pass emissions here in Colorado in January. It has a race-cat which is fine for emissions but it'll still flow air. The pickup does have an EGR delete, but most emission guys aren't going to crawl up to look for it. We can't guarantee emissions outside Colorado. This truck drives well for what it is. We've had it freshly aligned after replacing all the parts and for what it is, the truck drives well, fine on the highway, but you still have to pay attention just because of the tires and size. The ball joints and everything up front are all actually quite tight. The 4x4 works fine. The way this truck is built it should last for a very long time.
