I bought this truck used in 2011 from Dorian Ford in Clinton Twp. MI with just under 12,000 miles on it to pull an 18ft boat and my ORV trailer. The previous owner was a children's home in Louisiana which accounts for the fleet use noted in the AutoCheck vehicle history. I replaced one scuffed hubcap and had the dealer track down a rattle in the ceiling which turned out to be an energy bar some youngster stuffed into one of the headliner a/c registers. Other than that it was flawless. I carefully modified the van to allow me to carry a medium size motorcycle inside the body so I could carry either my BMW R1100S touring bike (86" long by 35" tall, 505lbs) or my Ducati 996 superbike inside the protection of the van without pulling a trailer. With removal of 3rd and 4th row seats it becomes a custom road bike or small ORV hauler. There is a key-fob remote controlledelectric winch installed under the second row bench seat that allows one person to safely winch and walk a 500lb motorcycle up the heavy duty ramp into the van and secure it in a quickly removable heavy duty wheel chock that attaches to second row seat brackets with a couple of hand screws. There is a 40amp circuit breaker under the hood near the battery to protect the winch wiring and prevent accidental or unauthorized winch operation. When used as a purely passenger van the winch is out of sight and does not interfere with seating or legroom in any way. The van also has a class III Draw-Tite hitch receiver.A tail lamp multiplex unit hidden in the body behind the left tail light assures proper trailer light operation without the fast blinking turn signals and the trailer wiring associated with the multiplex unitaccommodates 4 pin flat plug standard or 5 pin flat plug for trailers with surge brake backup solenoids. The connecter is bracket mounted to the hitch for a clean looking installation. The van has just under 25,000 miles and clean CARFAX, no accidents and never been smoked in or driven in winter. It has always been kept washed, waxed, garage kept and had 5,000 mile Ford dealer oil changes and tire rotations and new air filters every 10,000 miles. At about 21,000 miles Michelin recalled the original tires and all 5 tires were replaced by Michelin.Van comes with original owner’s manual kit as provided by the dealer when new.
