2001 Ford Excursion Description

For sale is my 2001 Excursion Limited 4x4 with the venerable 7.3L Diesel engine. Nonsmoker. Less than 100k miles. I am the second owner and have driven the truck for 3 years and 10,000 miles.Recent emissions and tags. No tax for private sale in Arizona.
Originally a Texas truck, now residing in my garage in Arizona. The truck is STOCK with no suspension or engine mods. No tuner.
I have all receipts from my ownership. All services were performed at a local top diesel shop. I had all fluidschanged after I bought the truck. Since then I have replaced front brakes, front rotors, and front wheel hubs. Recent four wheel alignment. New front windshield. No leaks. I haven't had to add oil between changes during my ownership. Oil was changed at least once a year regardless of mileage. Diesel fuel additive at every fill. Truck runs smooth and shifts well. Newer batteries. Newer Headlight Bulbs. Needs nothing for maintenance. The vehicle has newer Pirelli scorpion tires with less than 10K miles with road hazard warranty. I get 17mpg in town with a light foot. Highway mileage varies by speed, but can exceed 22 mpg.
Interior is Medium Parchment leather. The leather is clean and conditioned frequently with no tears or holes. It has new matching leather seat covers on the front driver and passenger seats, and new driver seat foam. Seat covers were professionally installed and fit well. The steering wheel is a new OEM unit. The carpets are very clean without stains or burns. Nice floor Mats. The door lock actuators are new and work correctly. The drivers door window regulator was replaced preemptively for a slow motor. All windows work. Aftermarket head unit and I presume original speakers. No DVD. AC blows very cold even for Arizona. Both front and rear AC and controls work as they should. All switches work.
Think root beer float for the paint color. I think it iscalledChestnut Brown Metallic over beige two tone. I have only ever seen one other Excursion with this color scheme. It is my favorite color (Similar to burgundy but richer with metallic flake) and looks really nice IMO. Original paint. The vehicle has had a two stage paint correction and clear sealant with over 20 hours just on the paint. The result looks really nice. There is some checking or starring and clear coat failure on the roof and hood which is common for Ford vehicles of this vintage. A small ding on the passenger door and Roof that could probably be fixed easily by PDR. Both dings are barelynoticeable. I had a quote to paint the hood and roof, but will pass the savings on to the next owner and let them decide. Once painted the truck would be close to perfect. All door and window seals intact and soft. The Roof rack is included but not in the pictures. The Rear window "bump" looks nice without fading.
It took me quite a while to find a truck this nice. I looked at a lot of beat up trucksbefore buying this one. You can find one nicer, but you will spend many thousands more than my reserve on this truck. I purchased this when I needed the space for multiple car seats and luggage. I also purchased for 4x4 and road trips. I have never used the 4x4 other than to engageoccasionally to keep functioning. I no longer need a vehicle this large. It has been a great truck and can easily fit eight with luggage.
Don't buy a V10 or 6.0. Don't deal with the headaches. This is the one you want and the one that will run forever. Just look at the mileage of the trucks for sale, you can easily find them with over 300,000 miles. I bought a new Pickup for the wife so this one has to go. No trades. I have close to $30K invested in this truck and am willing to sell for much less.
Good luck finding an unmolested example with under 100k miles for cheaper. Clean title in hand. Thanks for looking.
