1967 Mustang Fastback A Code Eleanor GT350 GT500
1967 Ford Mustang Description
1967 Fastback "A" Code 289 4 barrel with 5 speed (nice Borg Warner from 80's Mustang with new trans cross member). Original 4 speed. OK - I just got this car and on the lift....the 5 speed is installed but needs adjusting it seems...
Originally Candyapple Red paint, Ford #2008-A! See Marti Report...
Has a dressed and running 289 Edelbrock 4 barrel with electric ignition. Headers installed but no exhaust in place from headers back... set up for duel exhaust with the notched rear apron.
New brakes. New hood hinges...
Here's the deal... started a build as a Shelby or Eleanor clone... quarter vents, mid and upper installed... mid is installed to allow air flow to pass through to rear wheels. Rear lights (1 lens broken), quarter corners and Shelby style trunk in place.
The car is in black primer but needs lot's of sanding before ready for paint. There is very little rust on this car. Side lower quarter (very lower area)... btw, these look like the original quarters... red paint and undercoating still intact. Small rust flake hole on passenger side at very bottom (see pic) where your right foot would be... small rust spots visible on passenger door lower corner and on fender right next to it. The engine compartments looks great - a couple holes on the top rails where cut out - probably rust - would need small patches.
The front clip area is all stock - the hood is the original and in great shape - it's the turn signal style.
Wheels on it are tarnished but could be used if cleaned/painted.
Interior - seat material are near perfect (see pics).. they need a cleaning and then ready for use... back seat and fold down in great shape as well.. all carpet ok for use... the internal quarter arm rests had been removed when the Shelby air flows hoses were being added... they are missing... but all the top plastic interior fastback trim is there... dash pad (replace) and dash area needs TLC (sanding, paint, etc...). Shifter needs a cover (plan was an aftermarket console) and handle/ball.
Glass in great shape all the way around.
Build intent is to look something as the red Shelby in the pics! These are going for mid 30's to near 60K when completed.
The more I describe this fastback the more I'm thinking of keeping it... lol... let me know if you have any questions...
