1968 Ford Thunderbird Base Hardtop 2-Door 7.0L
1968 Ford Thunderbird Description
I am the second owner of this vehicle. I purchased it in 2000, and spent 2 years going through the mechanicals on the car, due to it sitting in a garage and not being started up and driven most of it's life. The original owner of this car was the first woman to ever work for the railroad company in Chicago, and rode public transportation to her job during the week. When I re-titled the car I was able to keep the original title to the car, which comes with the sale. I also have both Ford factory dealer shop manuals as well. I also will include 3 large boxes of misc. extra parts and pieces for the car, which I have picked up along the way from old salvage yards/ebay/etc.Here is a partial list of what I have done to the car since I have had it :Restore of gas tank. Front brakes and calipers. 3.00 traction lock rear-end (have original 2.80 as well). Rebuilt the transmission with mild stall converter and shift kit. Fuel pump. Edelbrock carburetor, as originals were junk from factory. Alternator. Starter. Heater core. Coil over shocks and springs. Hydraulic lifters. Aftermarket radio down low, passenger side.Car has always been stored inside, and had Ziebart treatment when new, and shows up in the pictures. This is an extremely clean original car, and drives very well. You can drive it away no problems.I took 2 pics to show both areas on the body which could use attention. There is also 1 pic which shows a small tear in a seat. Not deal breakers by any means. The a/c needs to be charged as well - it turns freely.I will answer any questions you have about the car, and can provide any further pics on request. Local pick up only, and only certified cashiers check, cash, or PayPal as payment for sale. Thanks for looking, and good luck!
