1931 Ford 5 window Coupe Description

When you're going to create a 1931 Ford 5-Window coupe hot rod, the way to do it right is make sure that your iconic Ford stays true to the big blue oval. That's why this custom creation utilizes a real Henry Ford steel body and is powered by a thumpin' big block that made Fords drag racing kings. The body is a genuine steel coupe, chopped and smoothed just enough, but retains the upright good looks of Henry's original design. Of course no one in the 1930s could have imagined we'd have the kind of modern metallic paints we have today. The copper on this car is the result of a serious investment in high quality paint, a professional hand, and plenty of clearcoat. It's such a great look that other pieces were painted, too, like the radiator surround and chassis. These are difficult and costly additions, but the result is a uniform build that makes the whole hot rod look candy-coated. Beyond just paint, the car's desire is in the details from the cat's eye headlights, to the shaved door handles, to the power-actuated trunklid. And of course everyone love iconic Cragar wheels. This was an exceptionally thoughtful custom build, and you can confirm that the moment you open the door. Not only is the exterior copper color seen on the dash and tilt steering column, but there's even nicely coordinated copper carpeting, too! This coupe has dual comfortable late-model bucket seats covered in custom leather that also includes copper Ford logos stitched into them. The pattern on the seats coordinates with the door panels, and the same material also covers the headliner and center console that houses the power window switches. Because nothing is cooler than chrome, you grab a custom chrome steering wheel with your right hand, and your left one operates the three-speed automatic gearshift with a custom chrome skull knob. You get a full set of Daytona gauges on the dash that are laid in... you guessed it.. a chrome panel. But even with all that brightwork in the interior, you know it doesn't outshine that big motor you get to look at through the windshield. While most cars of this caliber are happy with small-block power, this one is laying down the law with a FE Ford big block. You need sunglasses just to look at this V8 with everything polished that possibly could be, including the air grabbers, steel hoses, and pulleys. The fined valve covers that have the exterior copper within the shiny grooves are an especially nice custom touch. But even with all that style, you can't miss the added substance of the two big Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors sitting on top of that Offenhauser 360 intake. Plus, you know the headers that directly exit through the side pipes will scare a few people with its growl. But if all you're doing is staring at the engine, than you're missing out on the full custom build. Check out the undercarriage shots where you see how awesome the painted chassis looks. And while you're looking at it, enjoy at all the other upgrades done in copper and chrome. Up front is an adjustable double A-arm independent front suspension on what appears to be original front boxed frame rails. In the rear you've got a great looking three-link adjustable coilover setup that helps keep those massive 15-inch rear tires stay on the ground during powerful takeoffs. But this full custom build goes beyond just power to give you the unbeatable control of four-wheel disc brakes. If you're timid, look elsewhere. This full custom build has the look, sound, and speed to get all the attention and amass all the trophies. Quality, and Henry Ford Steel doesn't last long, call today!!
