Henry Ford let the Model 48's leave the factory in a variety of colors that weren't black, including Gun Metal Gray, Washington Blue, Gray Vineyard Green, Benton Gray Metallic, Desert Sand, Light Fast Maroon, and Cordoba Tan like this particular model. The Cordoba Tan exterior subtly accents the flowing fenders and substantial grille, and pairs wonderfully the supple milk chocolate leather interior.The Ford Model 48 was a milestone in automobile history: no longer were V8 engines exclusive to high end, luxury vehicles. Featuring a 221 CID Flathead V8, this engine brought 8 cylinder power to the people, churning out 90 horsepower. Power is put down with a 3 speed manual transmission. This Model 48 is the Phaeton, or convertible four door sedan. It is originally a southern California car, and was restored there in 2004. The build does show some age, but is overall very well put together and still quite the looker. This vehicle also is equipped with the rear windshield, also known as a "dual cowl" vehicle.
