1997 GMC Suburban 1500 SLE Lifted 4x4 5.7L 350 Chevy Square Box Style
1997 GMC Suburban Description
This has been my favorite suburban and is unstoppable. I really don't want to part with it but I got a new one. This beast is perfect for hunting, fishing, camping, hauling or just messing around.
3" body lift with 305/70/16 (33") General Grabber tires with 16" Micky Thompson wheels (I know the center cap say American Racing. The old MT caps rusted and I had these. Wheels marked MT). Everything works like it should. AC blows about 38-40 degrees, push button four-wheel drive works. No major issues that I know of.
New tires with less than 5,000 miles on themNew GM OEM RadiatorNew GM OEM StarterNew Bilstein front shocksInspected 2 months ago and needed nothingSynthetic oil change every 2,500 miles (need to add 1qt of oil between changes, typical of 350 motors)Repainted about 6 years ago with two tone scheme. Original color was all green.
Here's what I do know. The rear diff needs to be resealed. It just started to seal. The left rear window regulator needs replaced. The left side exhaust clamp broke and has a temp one on it for now. The quarters have some rust. My body guy said he can get new quarter panels for a few hundred. Common issue.
Normal wear and tear and in good condition for being 19. Still using it to commute back and forth to work.
