2003 GMC Safari Cargo Work Van Astro No Reserve
2003 GMC Safari Description
Up for auction is my former work van. This is the harder to find mini cargo with no windows in the rear. It has the rear barn doors style. It does not have a cargo divider wall.
It has been reliable over the past 6 years that I have owned it. I bought a new van in May and no longer need this one.It was used for carpet cleaning, but has never had a truckmount unit inside of it.
The Good:
- Lots of new parts. If something needed to be fixed, I got it fixed. Most recent was new ignition cap/rotor/wires, fuel pump, blower motor.
- Euro style bumper and tail lights.
- Tires are in good shape.
- Pioneer HD Radio with MB Quart Component speakers. Previous owner had a car stereo shop.
- Dynamat everywhere. It's very sound deadened. From previous owner.
- Brakes are recent.
- Built in GPS, but maps are from 2001. It's on DVD under the passenger seat.
- Great on gas. That's why I bought it.
- It starts right up and drives.
The Bad:
- It still needs the spark plugs replaced. It runs rough/hesitates because of it.
- Crack across the windshield.
- Rust in all of the usual areas.
- The air conditioner does not work anymore.
- The interior is pretty dirty. It's been a work van.
- It leaks oil. I think it's from the gasket around the engine. It usually needs one quart between oil changes.
- It slowly leaks brake fluid. No mechanic has been able to find it. Just have to keep an eye on the reservoir.
- Rear door closes, but will not lock from the outside.
