2007 GMC Topkick w/ LG4 Diesel engine Propane Bobtail 3000 gal - WORKING ! -
2007 GMC Topkick Description
2007 GMC Topkick 3000 gal Propane Bobtail
Combined Energy Services, a local family owned & operated propane gas, fuel oil and compressed gas supplier for almost 50 years is selling off more of our fleet. We have about 100 vehicles on the road daily, maintained in-house by our fleet mechanics and major work is sent to the OEM dealers. We haul haz-mat in the state of NY so we have to stay on top of our fleet since the DOT tend to not play games in our neck of the woods.
This truck was used for delivering bulk propane to our customers until it's new replacement showed up last fall. Good working truck, can go to work tomorrow with no worries. We have 15 propane bobtails on the road every day, 5 fuel oil trucks, assorted 65 other trucks - we work very hard at maintaining our equipment, each branch is equipped with serious pressure washers, commercial car wash style vacuums, owner is a freak and hates dirty / rusted trucks!

What it has:
Engine: LG4 in-line 6 cylinder
Mileage: 257,939 on odometer -- completely brand new factory crate engine at 50k miles due to me choosing a poorly designed propane injection system which ran great for 20,000 miles - then one cold day it allowed liquid propane to get into engine, hydrolocked this engine and blew it into a zillion pieces. Oops. No time to screw around fighting with propane injection guys, it was winter, we had a brand new factory engine installed that week by the OEM dealer. So, this existing engine has about 200,000 miles on it.
In 2013: We had the same OEM dealer do the heads and head gaskets due to antifreeze leak. NOTE: All maintenance records are available for purchaser.Running good -- no smoke, starts, runs great, no fears in driving this truck home.
Automatic Allison Automatic Transmission
Locking Rear Differential (snow's a problem in upstate NY)
GVWR: 33,000 lbs
Air brakes
AM/FM, AC, air driver's seat.
Tires: 11R 22.5 -- in good condition
3200 Gal BT&T MC331 tank, last hydro 7/13 (so good for 2 more years), 3" Blackmer pump, 2" Neptune meter register, Midcom electronic register, Base remote shutdown, Guidemaster on Hanny Reel with approx 125' hose. This should pump 50 gpm since we track all pump times monthly. Aluminum rear deck.
Tank was pulled I believe two summers ago, possibly three, sandblasted & repainted, no rust under tank at all. Frame, rear & fuel tanks, etc are really overall nice... in great shape for being a northeast winter truck.
Truck is located in Monticello NY (12701), about 90 mi north of NYC. It's available for inspection M-F and Sat with appointment. It's best to come check it out, kick the tires, take it for a ride. If you can't come yourself, feel free to Google "Monticello NY truck repair" and have a 3rd party truck mechanic come take a look for you. There is no warranty implied or expressed, so we always advise to come take a look. Sure they will charge you something, but money well spent to give you piece of mind.
Any questions - holler. Thanks for looking!
