Here's a chance to buy a very clean and rare 1997 GMC 1500 * Short Bed * Stepside, Sport Pickup truck!An Insurance Buy Back
First The Bad... I backed into the front bumper with my work truck hitch and put a small dent behind the licenseplate (hardly noticeable) The typical GM cloth headliner is beginning to fall in a few spots. Has one small rust spot on the lower driver side cab corner, other than that, it's not rusty .... needs glove box door hasp (cheap fix)... Needs front rotors turned or replaced as the brakes pulse when hit hard... Needs windshield washer bottle replaced ( 20 bucks at LMC Trucks or local dealership ) Dashboard has a mini crack that can be fixed or hidden very easy (see photos)
THE GOOD:..... Has A Very Nice LINE-X bed coating (not homemade liner)..... Has Load Lockers to keep things from rolling around in the bed..... Very Clean Inside & Out .... Has 5 Lug axles so you can use any style mag wheels..... Right now, it has 17 inch Mickey Thompson Mag Wheels .... Tires have 50/50 tread wear .... Being a 20 year old truck, it isn'tperfect, but it'sabout as clean as any other well kept truck that i'veseen! .... You Won't Find One This Nice For THIS PRICE.... If you do, Buy It! Has a Chevrolet grille due to the actions of a failed car theft attempt.
GREAT GAS MILEAGE.... 4.3 200 HorsepowerV-6 Engine That Is FABULOUS On Gasoline and Faster Then My 97 Chevy Work truck That Has A 305 V8 In It! .... Automatic Over Drive Transmission .... RUNS GREAT!!!! .... Does Not Use Any Oil or Smoke! ..... New Battery ..... Has A Very Tight Firm Ride .... Smooth & Quiet! ..... AC Works But Need Charging I think? ..... A Very Sharp, Very Easy To Drive Sporty Pick-up Truck! ..... It Gets Lots Of Attention From The Local GMC & Chevy Guys! I Always Have Somebody Walking Up To Me, Asking If I Wanna Sell It or trade It For Something! ...... Would make one bad ass sleeper with a small block V8 in it, that was my plan 2 years ago when I bought it from my elderly neibors family... However, it's just too nice to turn into a hot rod. The Frame & Undercarriage almost mint...NO RUST!
Was bought back from the insurance company after a failed theft attempt, so it has a new clear re-cond Maryland title!!! .... The dash, ignition switch and grille was replaced from the attemptedtheft damage.... mileage shown is not actual miles .... Has approximately 110,000 miles as you can clearly see by the body, undercarriage and interior.... This sporty little truck runs, rides & drives nice other then needing rotors turned.
