5.7L V8 GMC Savana Limited Hi-Top
Low Miles 2001 Luxury Conversion Van
You are bidding on a precious and luxurious van owned by one family (two separate owners) for all but the first two years of its existence. The vehicle has low miles at less than 117,000.
Luxury:
This vehicle is amazing on trips, so comfy, drives great, has powerful separate A/C and heater for front and back, which saves energy and gas when no one is riding in the back. The seats are all very comfortable, and the middle seats easily swivel and turn around to any direction with a simple button. The rear seat folds into a 2-person luxury bed by the press of a button. The overhead console has a Video Cassette Player and TV which is great for anyone especially children to pass the time. More modern flat screens could easily replace the older equipment.
What's the van worth?Carfax'sanswer based on its actual title:
The VIN number is 1GDFG15R411234006 and if that is entered into Carfax's History-Based value tool that determines car value based on the car's actual title history at Carfax.com/value a value for Fair Condition (and the van is way better than fair) is returned of $5,740 retail and $4,240 private seller.
Engine:
This engine is rugged and reliable. And an extremely powerful V8 at 5.7 Liters capacity. The engine runs great and has always has. The original sales sticker reports 14/17 mpg, and that is about right in my experience.
Tires:
The tires are 50,000 to 65,000 mile tires and they have only a few thousand miles on them.
Issues to bring to attention:
Engine Light: The check engine light has been on for more than 30,000 miles without any engine trouble. There was a mechanic who could get it to go off for a day or two by replacing a mass air sensor. After the check engine light goes back on, the mass air sensor checks out fine, and the engine runs fine. The engine always runs fine. Another mechanic in Virginia worked for hours to find what out why the light was on, and concluded the sensor is the problem and not to worry about it. That was 30,000 miles ago.
