1999 GMC Savana Description

When it was determined that my cancer had returned, with the "4-6 months" prognosis, my beloved sons, both of whom are completely devoted to my care, decided to take me around the country to share some of our nation's great places - and friends -while I was still strong enough to travel. First stop was to be Houston, where my other two kids and grandchildren live, for last Thanksgiving.
We made it there, and the van performed perfectly all the way, burning no oil (from beginning to end) even getting decent gas mileage after the complete work-over it had just had. NO RATTLES, SQUEAKS OR KLUNKS; NO LEAKS UNDERNEATH OR ANYWHERE ELSE, AND AN AMAZINGLY GOOD RIDE.
My daughter held our Thanksgiving on the Sunday after, and, for the first time in my life, my entire family was with me! Four great kids, three grandchildren and their assorted wives, husbands and boyfriends....and even an ex-wife of my own!
It was one of the greatest times of my entire life, but we soon found out that I really didn't have the strength left to complete the plans we'd made. So, we wandered home with a few stops along the way. Since then, it's become clear that none of us will be needing it in the future, so it needs to find another adventure while it's still in such great and fresh condition.
You will not believe the condition of this van unless you (or any bona-fide inspector you choose) comes to see and drive it for yourself. It's really that special!
We bought it for exactly the same reasons you should! It's a primarily Florida vehicle that's been in covered storage when not in use until this year. It ran, drove and stopped properly, but, with such a long trip ahead of us, we had a nearby Master Mechanic go through it from stem to stern, and he did a super job, as it was just about flawless for my last big ride.
Note that we bought this van last October, when it had 122229 on the odometer. Currently, it's reading a bit under 126,700.....and that might change a little bit, from local use, since we're servicing the other car while we still have the chance.
That means that we haven't even been able to put 4,500 miles on it!
*******************************************************)Here's a partial list of things we've done to an already great van:
Brand-new, premium tires all 'round -- <5K miles!
Brand-new, premium shocks all 'round.
Replace steering idler.
Replace serpentine belt.
Installed 750/1000 W inverter.
Installed 32" flat-screen TV, mount & harness.
Installed new Cobra CB, with new harness, antenna and mount.
Replace emergency brake cable and adjust all brakes.
Plus all the usual filters, bulbs, etc.
Most of this really isn't repairs; they were upgrades to make the van into a rolling audio-video recording studio, so that the trip would be fully documented!

All are welcome to come see and ride in this great van, or to have someone else do it for you! Make sure that you contact us in advance so we can make it as convenient as possible.
