1997 GMC Sierra 1500 Description

Selling my LQ9 6.0 swapped Sierra. Same as a Chevy Silverado from the same year with a different grille, just a little different than the other OBS out there. Truck runs and drives great, no warning lights, no noises. Body and paint are in great shape, it's hard to find one this nice that wasn't repainted. This one is original paint. Absolutely ZERO rust. Very nice Line X bedliner.

Swap was done by an LS specialist in San Jose, Tilden Motorsports. The engine appears to have been rebuilt, new gaskets and some performance parts. The transmission was overhauled and lightly upgraded at the same time, Kevlar bands and valve body kit. Truck is reliable, it is my every day truck, and we take it on trips to Dallas, San Antonio and the like.
There is currently no air conditioning, because the LQ9 compressor mounts where the frame rail is on these trucks. There are bracket kits to mount a compressor up high. All the controls work correctly.
The truck needs the headliner redone, and the seat upholstery has blemishes as noted in the photos. There are two outward dings on passenger door, probably from a bad window regulator or something like that. There are screw holes on the bed rails as seen in photos. The oil pan leaks a bit and it may be a challenge to swap out the gasket with the engine swap.
The truck passed Texas OBD emissions with no problems, the tune seems to be well done. It has 4 wheel cross drilled and slotted rotors with fairly new pads. Parking brake works correctly. Air shocks in the back that hold with no leaks. It has an aftermarket radio with subwoofers mounted under the seat.
Doors shut perfectly, no sagging etc. Gauges all work correctly, truck runs cool in Texas heat.
You won't find a nicer 1500 short bed regular cab at this price, much less with a desirable motor swap. Buy it and have fun!
Clear Texas title in my name. Buyer pays shipping, I can assist with shippers I've used before if needed.
