2015 GMC Sierra Denali 1500, Crew cab, 6.2L-White Diamond Tricoat-RARE Find!
2015 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Description
Welcome to the baddest, most beautiful truck GMC has ever made. I bought this truck as a gift to myself for receiving a promotion expecting to keep it a year or two and then sell it. Well, here we are. In my opinion, this is the finest truck, in every way, GMC has ever put on the road. This truck is also VERY hard to find. I know because when I was looking for it, I had to look for months and drive 12 hours to pick it up. The 6.2L is very rare as it is expensive and I was told that GMC limits the number of Sierras with 6.2L engines (the engine is a $2,495.00 add on). If you’re not familiar, the 6.2L is the same engine you will find in a Camaro SS. It is wicked to say the least. With the Sierra being close to the same weight as the Camaro SS (no more than 1,000 lbs heavier), the truck is reminiscent of driving a really tall, quiet, and comfortable Camaro. This truck is a demon on the road! There’s no other word for how quick this truck is except “wicked.” I can’t imagine there’s a faster 4x4 on the road (and probably very few 2WD’s are faster).
Looks: It simply doesn't get any more gorgeous than this truck. The coveted White Diamond Tricoat is as beautiful as you would hope. The leather “cocoa-dune” interior is perfect with the small exception of a little foot rub on the driver’s foot panel from driver exiting the vehicle (very slight, but can be seen in the interior pic that says “denali”). Everything else is perfect on the interior. There are no scratches, dings, stains, or dents of any kind on the exterior of the truck with the exception of a rock nick on the lower part of the front bumper (unavoidable due to having a painted bumper I’m afraid). The only other wear that shows is a small amount of scuffing on the easily and inexpensively replaced plastic shroud under the front bumper (again common wear). The carpet is perfect; like new because of the use of weather tech floor matts. If the successful bidder would like the bumper painted, I’d be happy to arrange to have a good local body shop do the work and we could negotiate who pays for the work. The full set of front and back weather tech matts and original matts are included. Originals are unused and WT's are in really good shape.
Handling & ride: Within the first few minutes of owning this truck, my wife and I couldn’t help but be astounded by how quiet this truck is rolling down the road. ‘Truck’ and ‘quiet’ has never seemed compatible in my previous vehicles. However, this truck is as quiet as any vehicle I’ve ever ridden in, if not more quiet. As for handling, it rides like a sporty Cadillac; which was a bit of a surprise given the larger black wheels and the size of the truck. If you’ve every driven a nice Lexus, BMW, etc., and had that feeling of “holy cow, I can’t believe I’m going that fast” because the car was riding and handling so well, you didn’t notice your excessive speed, this truck will give you the same experience.
Gas Mileage: You won't believe it, but with the eco-tec engine, this truck's gas mileage is sometimes less than my wife's minivan! It really surprised me; which makes driving a truck so much nicer.
Tires, Warranty, bed and bed cover: Tires only have just over $21k on them so they’re great. Truck has existing warranty, free oil changes and other scheduled maintenance at any GMC dealer (up to 3 years or 36,000), and insurance on wheels, and other items (not GMC insurance on wheels etc.) I believe all of this is transferable. The bed has a factory black coating. The bed cover is aftermarket (Patriot Eagle SE). I paid over $1,200 for it; the paint matches perfectly. The bed cover simply clamps on and can be installed/uninstalled without any damage to the truck.
Features: There are too many to list. Cadillac has nothing on this truck! Honestly, I probably only understand about 1/2 of the features this truck has to offer. It is full of tech. I have all the manuals to assist the new owner with exposing all of the options on the truck. Most of the options, except the rear video, wheels, and 6.2L engine, are standard on a Denali, but as for a few I find cool/useful, or otherwise worth mentioning:
(a) Seating: the rear seats are extremely comfortable and there’s plenty of room for adults to ride. I would gladly take a long trip in the back seat of this truck and I’m a big guy. The truck has more room in the back than my wife’s minivan and most passenger cars I’ve ridden in. The front seats are electric in every way imaginable. Both front seats are heated and air conditioned! Climate Control: With dual zone climate control, you and your front passenger can have it just the way you want it. Not only can you set two different temps, but with the heating and cooled seating, you can actually stay warmer or cooler than your passenger with no problem. For rear passengers, no worries about being comfortable because heat and air come to the back via floor vents as well as vents in the back of both front seats. It also has a heated steering wheel!
(b) The tech: One of the most amazing tech options for me is the wifi in the truck. It’s satellite based (Onstar) and is very inexpensive (around $20/month) and is very fast. I need wifi for my job wherever I am. The truck enables me to have it for all of my devices anywhere in the country even if I have no cell service. The truck can also have its own phone number. Yes, you don’t even have to own a phone… this truck will call and text for you (without a separate phone) for a fee to Onstar. Of course, you can make calls from your smart phone, answer calls and talk via the vehicles intercom/audio system at the push of a button (no problems with the truck hearing you while driving b/c there are multiple microphones & truck is whisper quiet). The truck accepts verbal commands for all tech functions from navigation to phone usage, to finding a gas station, to adjusting the media/radio, etc.. And, the truck almost always actually understands my commands (something not true for my previous vehicle). The truck has several USB connections throughout, multiple traditional cigarette jacks, 2 SD card jacks, 1/8 jacks in front and back, RCA connections for media in the back, volume control for the wireless headphones as well as for one set of wired headphones for the rear passenger. And, of course, bluetooth is available for connection to phones or any other blue tooth device (including hearing aids) for talking, playing music, etc.. I.e., if you wish to be connected, this is your truck! There is also a power-inverted 110 outlet as seen in the pics. This can power your laptop and other such small amperage items.
(c) 4 wheel drive: With the twist of a knob, you can be in 2WD, 4-low, 4-high, or the “auto” setting. In my opinion, this is a must for any truck.
(d) Towing: The truck has the full tow package with hook up for both types of often-used trailer connections. The cargo light is not just in the usual position above the bed, but there are LED’s in the inside rails of the bed as well so you can see well inside the bed in the dark. Transmission has tow/haul mode for saving the tranny under heavy loads. Pressing this button also changes the dash display to include a transmission temp reading.
(e) 8-Speed Auto transmission w/manual-paddle shifter: Shifts more smoothly than any truck I’ve ever driven. Unless you get into the throttle, you never notice the truck shifting. Similar to the Camaro (and other vehicles), if you put the transmission in “manual”, you can use the “+/-“ button on the automatic shifter to change gears and give the truck the feel of a manual. This also helps with pulling large loads.
(f) Remote vehicle start/control: Just download the “onstar app” and you can lock/unlock your doors, start or shut down the truck, and set off the truck’s alarm from anywhere in the world!
(g) It has a television, and you can watch in the front!!! This is a big bonus for parents. The HD TV in the back is controlled up front or via the wireless remote. The rear passengers have 2 sets of wireless headphones already connected with the media system in the truck. Just pop in a movie, turn on the headphones, and that’s it! As shown in the pics, the movie also displays on the front display whenever the truck is in park position. Kinda cool if you’re on the road and stop for a while or stop to eat, etc..
(e) Other useful options: The door mirrors withdraw (for pulling into a garage etc) with the touch of a button on the door. The mirrors are, of course, all electric. The gas and brake pedals can be brought closer to and farther from the driver to accommodate for short/tall drivers. The mirrors, driver’s seat, and pedal positions can be saved (two separate settings) for one touch readjustment of this items. Handy for husband/wife to have their own settings. The truck is tall so the parking assist front and back is very helpful (and it shows you where you are, it doesn’t just beep when you get close to something). It has a backup camera, of course with direction guidance when backing up. Also, the center console is the most functional I’ve ever seen. As shown in the pics, you can move parts around to satisfy your needs. It even allows for a hidden access compartment (for hiding things like concealed weapons, wallets, etc). The main compartment is very large and thus allows for plenty of storage. There are additional storage compartments on both sides of the console. You won’t run out of places to put things. Sun roof and rear window: These are handy options for brightening your day. The sunroof works great and doesn’t create a lot of noise. The electric back window opens with a push of a button by the rear view mirror.
The extra, extras:
Brush guard: I bought a very nice stainless brush guard for this truck and never installed it. It’s just been gathering dust in my shop. It’s a Westin HDX Heavy Duty (type into google and you'll see it exactly). I paid over $1k for it. It is brand new and will make the truck look that much tougher.
Wheels: These are factory 22” black wheels. They look aftermarket, but they are right on the list of options pictured. They are a $2,995.00 add on.
Engine: The hard to find 6.2L gas engine. I've had several 5.3L GM trucks. They simply don't compare to this monster. I will miss having that extra boost.
Shipping etc: I am selling to US residents only. Local pickup is preferred, but I will work with you on using a shipping company, but full payment must be made in advance of shipping.
Mileage note: This truck is my daily driver. The mileage is low for its age (less than 22,000), but there will be a few more miles on it by the time any sale closes.
