1999 GMC Suburban 1500 Description

NO RESERVE !! NO RESERVE!!
This suburban will have to be trailered.
I am selling my 1999 GMC Suburban. It is being sold in AS IS condition. It needs transfer case repair and possiby other repairs, or would make a great parts car for your project. Push button 4X4 4WD AWD.
This was my daily driver for several years. Last fall the drive shaft actually came loose and started dragging under the car. I had it towed to Robinson Automotive in Aurora. They told me it would need a new rear transfer case or rear end. The cost of the repair was going to be about $1500 so I decided not to do it. I had it towed to my house where it has sat since then. My plan was to find a rear end and attempt the repair myself. Time passed and I haven't gotten around to it yet. I have lost interest in trying the repair. So, if you know how to make this repair, you can get a bargain.
The 5.7L engine still starts right away and seems to be strong. It only has 133K miles on it. The body is much better than others of this year for the midwest --very solid and very little rust. The only noticeable rust is on the back door and a little starting at the bottom of the doors. The leather interior is in good shape except for the rip in the driver's seat. It does have the third row seating. The a/c blew cold last year. It does not seem to be cooling now.
The drive shaft is out of the car now. It was leaking fluid (I assume transmission fluid) when I recently started the car and pulled it to my back pasture. It will move in 4 wheel drive and can be driven onto your trailer. It does make clunking noises and the brakes seem to stick. The front transfer case was rebuilt about 3 years ago.

My reserve is very low for the suburban AS IS. I am not interested in parting it out, although it would be worth much more than the reserve price in parts if you feel like taking that route.
I have added a buy it now price for those of you who do not wish to compete in an auction setting.
The car is also for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the listing at any time.
Trades will be considered. If you want to trade something, please send a picture of what you are offering.
This was a great vehicle when it was working correctly. It was an absolute beast in the snow.
Cash Only. I will only negotiate in person so don't bother sending offers via text or email.
This suburban is located at my home, 35 miles west of Chicago, 5 minutes of of I-88. 2 miles from the Aurora, IL airport.
If you need the suburban shipped to you, you are responsible for all arrangements. I will not release the car for shipping until all funds have completely cleared the bank.
