1992 GMC Sonoma GT Description

1992 GMC Sonoma GT for sale. This is really a fun vehicle and hate to sell it, but too many projects. There were only 806 of these trucks made, and they were one year only. The cladding (bodywork) is unique to these trucks only. This is truck number 419, and the body has 156k on it. It is considered "collector plate eligible" to the state of Ohio, and also allows for less expensive "collector" insurance.
If you are reading this, you likely know what these are, essentially the GMC Syclone without the turbo and AWD. Interior is the same; seats, console, dash with full gauges, door panels, etc.
This one, is a bit unique however, as instead of the stock vortec v6, it has an LT1 (350 fuel injected V8) swapped form a 1995 Z28 in it. The engine and transmission had about 40,000 miles. Its really a blast. Would not hesitate to drive anywhere. Has about 700 miles on it since the swap. This is not your typical hillbilly "swap a 350 in" swap, this is a professionally done installation of a fuel injected V8 and returns 20+mpg with 300hp or so on tap.
It will roast the tires at will, including when shifting to 2nd gear. If not careful this truck with go sideways in second and put you in a ditch, lol.
About the swap:
-Walbro 255 fuel pump with new sender
-Newer mini starter
-"S10 V8" swap coated headers
-Aluminum radiator designed for V8 S10 swaps
-Custom intermediate pipe
-All wiring professionally done. Wire loomed and taped. Looks factory.
-Custom electric fan setup
-"Jeep" intermediate steering shaft (u joints instead of rag joint)
Body: Freshly restored paint and body, all new NOS decals, added a choochoo custom hood scoop that can be removed, none of the very rare cladding has any cracks or major damage, replaced headlights and fog lights, door handles, painted inside of the bed with bed liner material for durability. Was completely gone over and all rust removed and repaired.
Interior: Seats have no rips, tears, etc. Looks like they have half the miles. Dash is decent, but not perfect with some wear and cracks, needs carpet and headliner replaced, interior needs a good cleaning as it has a smell from being in the paint shop/storage last 3 years(there were cats there, lol).
Engine/Drivability: No apparent issues with major leaks, oil burning, drivability, starting, etc. Starts right up and runs and drives as it should. No vibrations, rattles, squeaks or other issues. Shifts extremely well, very firm, motor is very strong and is smooth as a new car. Will putt around town like a new car, but is violent when you accelerate, very very quick.
New stuff (done since the swap)
-Tires (have less than 1000 miles on them)
-sliding rear window and seal
-Muffler
-Door handles
-Door locks
-Tailgate handle
-Passenger door handle
-Turn signal lever
-polished aluminum valve covers
-polished aluminum finned rear end pumpkin cover with new oil and posi additive
-underhood asbestos mat
-new GMC grill assembly
-new factory fog lights
Needs: horn hooked up (wire there, just need to crimp a spade connector on), headliner/carpet, seats cleaned to remove smell, speedo and tach hooked up (have wiring diagram to show which wires form the Camaro's ECM that feed the signals), windshield has cracking at passenger side bottom (something dropped on in paint-was new)
Not desperate to sell, cannot duplicate at this price, very well sorted truck. No another one just like it. Drive everyday or use it as a toy.
I can deliver to you or to your shipper for 1.00 a mile one way. This will depend on the distance and schedule, so please check before bidding.
