Vehicles may be viewed and picked up between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. (mountain standard time), Monday through Friday, excluding holidays and the third Thursday of each month, which is surplus auction day. AWARD: CAS will send the winning bidder a Notice of Award through eBay, within three working days of bid closing. For bids not meeting reserve, a second chance offer may be sent in the same time frame if certain conditions are met. Successful bidders must contact CAS within three days to make payment arrangements, schedule pick up, as well as to provide title information. No pick ups will be scheduled on the third Thursday of the month.PAYMENT: CAS accepts: Visa, MasterCard Payment may be made at the CAS office at 4999 Oakland, Denver, Colorado 80239. Money orders or certified checks, made payable to Colorado Auto Sales, will only be accepted for the purchase amount plus the $110 administrative fee . Should the purchaser elect to have another person or auto transporter pick up the property, a letter of authorization, specifically identifying the individual or carrier, must be in hand in advance before the property will be released. The best way to send this information is from the site of the highest bidder on eBay--NO EXCEPTIONS. CAS is not responsible for and will not make any removal / transportation arrangements. These arrangements are the responsibility of the purchaser. DEFAULT: If, after the award, the purchaser breaches this contract by: a.) Failure to make contact with CAS within the required 3-day period CAS may report to eBay, any buyer that defaults on a purchase. The Division is a cash-funded entity, with enterprise status, that employs inmates at different facilities throughout the state of Colorado.Earnings are generated from the sale of goods and services produced by inmates to cover operating costs. Inmates are offered training and work opportunities in a variety of occupational areas where they acquire marketable skills, knowledge, and work-ethic related abilities.Opportunities range from caring for calves and wild horses in the agriculture sector to lay out, cad designing, manufacturing, and installing panel systems in the manufacturing area. The primary mission of Correctional Industries, is to:reduce inmate idleness and the demand for general-funded programs by working as many inmates as possible in self-supporting and productive industries; train them in meaningful skills, work ethics, and quality standards which better enable them to secure long-term employment after release from prison; and finally, operate in a business-like manner so that enough revenues are realized each year to meet the on-going needs of the Division. |
