1959 GMC Other Standard Description

I am ready to sell my old truck. I just don't use it because of too many jobs and toys. Bought this truck on EBay in 2012 and haven't done a lot with it. It just isn't the same as my old 57 Chevrolet truck that I sold and wanted back.
It is a good solid truck. Low gear ratio transmission and rear end with a 4 on the floor shift, original. Leaf springs all the way around. Paint job wasn't a good one and then I let it sit outside too long and it got worse. Clear coat pealed a lot in some places. Don't know where and if bondo was used.
I put the bumber on the back, didn't come with one. Wipers were converted to electric but weren't working, so I bought a new wiper motor for it. But when I pulled the motor, I found someone had changed the wiper arms from original to after market from some other vehicle, so the motor would not fit. I picked out the original wiper arms from book but never got around to buying them so I could use the motor that I bought that cost about $300. The arms were less. This motor is designed to use with original set of wiper arms.
The bed is not original, solid wood planks but not a real bed kit. They just bolted down some oak planks. Never bothered me because you don't see the bed.
I let it sit too long and the carb developed problems. I sent it off and had it rebuilt about 8 months ago. Cost $270. Worked great when installed. Idles great, ran great. Let it sit again under shed, now it doesn't really want to idle slow, have to have the choked pulled out some.
Sitting up, developed some brake problems too. I bought some wheel cylinders and a master cylinder. Installed the needed wheel cylinders, brake hoses but not the master cylinder. It didn't seem to need it. Bled the brakes with someone else doing the pumping. They said it had a solid pedal after awhile so I shut it down. After I drove it, I can tell it needs some more bleeding. I may get it done, but not sure will be able to make the time.
Everything works but the blinkers. If the battery sits for a month, it will go down. A small short somewhere. It has a battery disconnect switch mounted on the battery that I use and never had a problem. Good battery, brand new tires, maybe 25 miles on them. New master cylinder and wiper motor goes with it. All the wiper parts are with the truck.
It is an all original truck as far as I can tell and body is solid. Foot pedal start. The original radio and glove box are with it. Pulled them out to work on wipers. Original Radio not work though. Door on passenger side is to tight with new gaskets but will shut tight with hard slam and open with a hard push on the button. Window got off track last month on driver door and always worked ok before that. Passenger widow very hard to roll up and down, needs some grease in the right places.
Trying to remember everything, but may have missed something. Will add if it comes to mind or someone asks.
Took pictures, but can't seem to use them. It seems I have to take the pictures after starting the listing, which seems pretty stupid. Take a picture, go back in house for wifi, back out again and over and over. What is eBay thinking?

I looked inside the tailgate and find that memory ain't so good. I'd does have a bed kit. It has stainless steel bed strips. The wood is unfinished though. I will take a picture and replace another pic with it. Also see some rust bubbles on the passenger door, outside bottom.

The reserve is set at $6500. On Sep-05-17 at 20:19:42 PDT, seller added the following information:

I can't seem to replace any of the pics with other pics. Glove box is not with it as I thought. Must have been bad and planed on another. Anyway, they are not expensive. Truck brakes are leaking somewhere. Had to add some fluid when I pulled it out of shed today. I see I still have two rear wheel cylinders. So I guess they werent replaced as I remembered. Sure thought I did all four and new pads. All the radio trim and stuff are there with wiper cowell. It is running nicely. The more I run it, the less the choke has to be out. I think it just needs more driving and carb will be fine. I did add some some gas treatment awhile back for the carb. I always use the lead substitute with a tank.
