2012 GMC Acadia AWD SLT-2
2012 GMC Acadia SLT-2 Description
So this is my wife vehicle. She LOVES her Acadia. She does not know I am selling it. I would like to buy her a new one....hence...this one is for sale.
So after looking around little over two years ago, we knew we wanted an SUV. We needed one that would hold a child seat in the back seat without sacrificing the position of the front seat - something the Ford Explorer could not offer. We wanted one built by an American company, ruling out Honda, Toyota, etc. And finally we absolutely had to have an AWD/4WD version, as my wife is from Wisconsin and we often go there in the winter.
So hard to find a 4WD/AWD SUV in Texas. We decided after driving we wanted the Acadia. It was big enough to feel that you were in a middle to large sized SUV, had some of the features of a minivan, but great MPGs as well (we average about 18-19 most of the time, high of 24 on hwy). After finding 30 Acadia's around central texas, we finally found an AWD. It was a program vehicle, aka a rental. I was hesitant on this. Always have been. But thinking, the people that rent Acadia's, probably have families with them, or are a little more mature, and are less hard on them? That was my thought process anyway. Regardless, it was the only AWD I could find which was more important. I forced the dealer to do a full blown inspection on everything I wanted looked at. It passed with flying colors. We we bought it!
Fast forward 2.5 years and the vehicle has been amazing, probably the most reliable vehicle either of us have ever had. After recently upgrading my truck, my wife deserves the same. So here we are. I usually do the maintenance, as far as oil changes and such, and one of my good friends is an ASE certified mechanics with a mobile mechanic business, he has done things such as the brakes, and one part for the air intake last summer. I would use a dealer or lube service if we were on a trip. Recent transmission flush prior to 100K. Brakes were done about the same time. Remaining condition: Two of the tires are at least 80% tread, while two are probably closer to 60% left. I am due for an oil change in the next couple week (every 3k) and that will be done prior to the sale. Windshield has one small ding that has been drilled and sealed, so not highly noticeable. Driver side of rear bumper has a small scrape, again not highly noticeable, that was on the vehicle when we bought it.
Got everything you can ask for on a 2012, except sunroof or dvd. All power, Leather, premium Bose stereo, 3rd row seat, etc. SLT2 Trim Package
It is a great vehicle, and I think anyone that ends up with it will be extremely happy for a time to come!Carfax photos are attached. You are free to call me at 512-777-9188.
