Here is my Grandson's first car.....I recently traded him my Toyota 4Runner & now I have his "Black Beauty". However, I have several other Hondas, so this one needs to go to a new home.
It has all of its' history in Seattle, Kirkland & Western Washington, so it has rarely, if ever, seen snow. Original Owners Manual, as pictured. No collisions & NO sign of rust and the chassis is like new underneath! It belonged to an older person who used it around town, hence the nicks here and there..
Extra wiring for a subwoofer or amplifier is set up inside the spacious trunk. The previous Owner replaced the stolen original Honda Radio with a generic AM/FM radio, as pictured. The car itself was stolen, but was recovered promptly, missing only the radio & amplifier. No other damage involved!
THE GOOD:100,418 ORIGINAL MILES!!! 1600 cc VTEC SOHC 16 valve Engine produces 127 HP.-Smoke and pet-free! Like new interior!-DUAL FRONT AIRBAGS (SRS)-No Recall on these!-Power Moonroof works as new!-DUAL POWERED MIRRORS-work as new.-DUAL VANITY MIRRORS.-Basically a near-new 1997 HONDA CIVIC EX COUPE!-This car is almostentirely as factory-produced nearly 20 years ago..All VIN numbers match over the entire car.
-Brand-new Michelin All-Season P185/65 R14 DEFENDER TIRES!-ORIGINAL FACTORY MATS STILL LOOK AS NEW!-REAR SEATS FOLD DOWN, to allow larger parcels from the trunk.
I drove it the 1700 miles down from Everett, WA to Sierra Vista, AZ at legal speeds of 65-80 & it performed flawlessly. No hiccups, no oil consumption, and great mileage 32-33 MPG.
It has had all regular services, like oil changes, transmission fluid changes and fresh brakes.
We recently replaced at ourHONDA DEALER:-TIMING BELT, WATER PUMP, ACCESSORY BELTS, COOLANT-POWER STEERING FLUID-STARTER-EXHAUST MUFFLER & PIPE-IGNITION WIRES, DISTRIBUTOR CAP, PLUGS
THE BAD: The Car was stolen from the original Owner, then recovered shortly afterwards, missing the radio and amplifier. There was no other damage from the theft.
The Owner installed a generic radio pictured. Dings and minor marks on the paint, mainly lower body. Small, less than dime-sized hole in rearseat cover. The hood has several dents in it, but is original to the car. Some evidence that there may be occasional minor water leakage around the rear window into the trunk. The remote control works OK, but sometimes is sluggish locking the car.
