2007 Honda Odyssey Description

2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L Up for sale is our 2007 Honda Odyssey. I'll divide up the description into the good, the bad and the ugly. But first, as you will see in the pictures, you are not buying a Florida car here. This car has spent its life in Northern New Jersey and at times in New York City. That means scratches and dents, plus a few extra dents we put in ourselves.
So, if you are looking for a pristine, non dented, non scratched vehicle - this is not the car for you.
The Good We are the second owners of the car. It was purchased by us in 2010 fresh off someone's return from a three year lease and with low mileage (34,689). At that time it was scratch and dent free, but that was six years ago. Up until the past year the car was exclusively maintained at the Honda dealership where purchased. We still take it there for major items or recalls, but also use specific places we like for certain items. Example, new battery last month from Interstate Battery. The Bad Not much actually. Said Honda dealer is very aggressive in wanting cars in for maintenance. A couple of months ago when the power steering belts were replaced they suggested brakes soon, so I would factor new brakes into your bid.
The driver side mirror and dent. Big car; small parking garage; concrete columns; things happen. Had it been a parking attendant who did this, we might have gotten some money but, it wasn't. Now as this mirror had already been ripped off once before by a bus - who had no interest in stopping after the incident - we know what it costs to replace the whole mirror. Right now the mirror still works via the remote on the drivers door. Honda insists you have to replace the whole mechanism, not just the mirror. We know from experience, that is costly so what you see is what you get. The Ugly Look, it gets into scrapes. Again, please look at the pictures and re-read my comments above. This car earns its keep and around this area, that means the bumpers are scratched and shopping carts, garages and other cars have all left their mark. Full Disclosure Car Fax will show one accident in September 2013. That was at a stop sign. The driver of the car in front started going and then he changed his mind. Front of our Honda into the back of his car. As this was a low speed accident there was no damage to the front bumper and minimal damage to the car in front, which our insurance covered.
Also, while the current mileage of 99893 is considered low for a Honda, I need to state that this is a used car with the mileage stated and there are no guarantees or warranties of any kind attached to this sale. On the other hand, in preparation for this auction I've been researching recent Honda Odyssey sales and have seen this same car without an engine selling for more than my starting price, so I think you'll be ahead of the game with this car as it indeed has a working engine, steering wheel, tires and other items I consider essential in a usable vehicle.
*REVISION* So I looked at the Auto Check report after I listed the car and I saw to my surprise two accidents. The first is from the original owner. I have no info on that other than what is listed in the Auto Check report. *END REVISION* Bottom Line A mechanically sound car that has been 90-95% dealer maintained. I am starting the price low and this is a no reserve auction.
Somebody should be getting themselves a 2007 Honda Odyssey.
