2006 Honda Odyssey Description
2006 Honda Odyssey EX-LI am the original owner of this one-owner minivan. Non-smoking family. The van scored an 86 on an AutoCheck report that I ran just before posting the van for sale. The van presently has 166,623 miles on it as of today. It is my daily driver, so I listed the van as having 167,000 miles because I will be driving the van while it is posted for sale.
Here are the areas of potential concern for a prospective purchaser:
- As can be seen on the pictures, the paint has several bad spots, particularly on the front of the van.
- See the picture of the front passenger left armrest with the torn leather. Also (not pictured), the front passenger seat has an ink spot on the seat that came off of a wet newspaper delivery bag - I haven't done anything to try to remove the ink.
- There is a cracked spot on the left front bumper that came from accidentally hitting a dog.
- The windshield has a crack in it in the lower right corner, plus a couple of rock chips.
- The motor mounts are electronically controlled, and I am guessing that at least one motor mount would need to be replaced, if so desired. For a brief moment the van will vibrate slightly while accelerating to highway speed, due to the lack of the electronically controlled motor mount not compensating for vibration due to the acceleration. When the van is at highway speed & not accelerating, the van drives smooth. It doesn't vibrate if you are just cruising down the highway. (There is information on the web about this.)
- Sometimes there is a knocking sound that comes from the rear AC area when the van is first started up. It lasts maybe 5 seconds, then there is no more knock. It does not affect the operation of the rear AC - it cools fine. (Also, refer to the web for other information about this.)
Here are some of the notably good things about this van:
- A new Interstate AGM Battery was installed in November 2015. (@157,947 miles)
- The AC Compressor, Condenser and Expansion Valve were replaced and the AC system was recharged in October 2015. Also, Power Steering Pump was rebuilt. (@157,030 miles)
- New Michelin Tires were installed in June 2015. (@151,872 miles)
- New Rear Brake Pads installed in January 2014. (@132,332 miles)
- New Front Brake Pads and Rotors installed in January 2014 miles. (@132,089 miles)
- New Timing Belt, Water Pump, Serpentine Belt, and Radiator Hoses installed in January 2013. (@112,272 miles)
- Oil changed about every 5,000 miles with synthetic oil. FYI - Just prior to changing the oil, the oil level is down by about 3/4 of a quart.
- Except for the listed AC repair, I performed all of these maintenance/repair items listed above.
Also, I installed the OEM floor mats in the van for the pictures shown on this listing. Except for the third row seating, these mats were barely used. If you like, I will put the used WeatherTech front and 2nd row mats back in the van.
The van comes with all the glovebox manuals that typically come with the van. In addition, I will give you the official Honda Shop Manual.
The van comes with two regular keys and one valet key. Also, includes three remotes for locking and unlocking doors, buttons for operating each of the rear sliding doors, and a panic button.
No other issues with the van, everything works except as noted above.
Also - Just so I don't get locked up by a bogus eBay buyer, if someone chooses the "Buy It Now" option, I am requiring a payment of $100 to be paid within 24 hours via Paypal. If payment is not received within 24 hours of selecting "Buy It Now", I will cancel that transaction. The $100 paid via Paypal to me will be credited to the purchase price of the van.
In addition, I may end the listing if I accept an offer.
All sales require the buyer to pick up the van in Midland, Texas. I will not provide shipping of the vehicle under any circumstances.
