2000 Honda Civic EX Description

2000 Honda Civic EX 1.6l SOHC VTEC 5-Speed Manual in NON-running condition is for sale. The car started making some noise about a month ago. I brought it to Garden State Honda in Clifton, they checked the cylinder head and valve clearances, since it initially sounded like a valve tick, and all was within specs up top. Now the engine makes a loud knocking noise and seems to loose compression as it does not stay running unless you give it gas. I've performed all of the maintenance on this vehicle since I received it. Oil changes every 3,500 miles, brand new Toyo tires about a two or so ago on 15" 2001 Honda Civic wheels, Alarm with Remote starter, replaced the timing belt, water pump, tensioner, alternator, battery, alternator belt & air conditioning belt about 18,000 miles ago, also by Garden State Honda. For someone that can do the work themselves this car will be awesome to get back up and running. The clutch still catches low and there's no grinds in any of the gears. The AC blows very cold and the compressor was replaced about 25,000 miles ago. The interior is close to mint condition and everything is factory including the replacement Honda floor mats. I mostly used this car to commute to and from work which is only about 16miles each way, from my home. My wife and I are expecting another child and have opted to purchase a new vehicle to replace this one.
I have 2 keyfobs for the alarm and remote starter and about 3 Honda keys, as I had additional ones made.
