There are plenty of innovations worth noting inside the Odyssey, as well as a couple of surprises. Honda engineers have made the third-row seat more accessible, thanks to sliding second-row seats. The third-row seat is also split on a 60/40 bias and very easy to fold flat into the floor. The second row features power windows plus optional twin captain's chairs and a clever in-seat storage compartment (dubbed the PlusOne Seat by Honda). There are three sets of LATCH child safety seat anchors: Two on the outboard second-row seats and one in the middle third-row seat.
Exterior
The 2010 Odyssey has blossomed into a refined version of its former self. Honda's designers have conceived an Odyssey that is both sleeker and more sophisticated than previous generations. The Odyssey's wide stance gives it a more secure visual stance. Appealing features, such as available power sliding side doors and a power rear liftgate, bolster the Odyssey's desirability.
The 2010 Honda Odyssey minivan offers passengers a roomy interior with an upscale feel, thanks to such features as leather-trimmed first- and second-row seats, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. Honda also includes a number of convenience features, such as power sliding doors and a power-operated tailgate. An 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat, 4-way power passenger seat, tri-zone automatic climate control, and cruise control also come standard. A 120-watt, six-speaker AM/FM audio system with a 6-CD changer, XM satellite radio, and MP3 input jack keeps passengers entertained. In addition, owners can fold down the 60/40-split third-row Magic Seat to expand rear cargo space.
For power, the Odyssey comes equipped with a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 engine. The engine generates 244 hp and 245 lb-ft of torque, and links to a five-speed automatic transmission. Variable Cylinder Management, which programs the engine to run on three, four, or six cylinders, depending on the power requirement, improves fuel efficiency and increases cruising range. The i-VTEC V6 also features Active Noise Cancellation, which helps ensure a quieter cabin, and an Active Control Engine Mount System, which reduces vibration. Fuel economy numbers for the V6 engine check in at 17/25 mpg. An electronic stability system and antilock brakes with electronic brake distribution and brake assist come standard. The Odyssey rides on 16-inch alloy wheels with all-season tires.Air Conditioning | Automatic climate control front air conditioning·Dual front air conditioning zones·Automatic climate control rear air conditioning |
