2010 Honda Pilot Touring Sport Utility 4-Door Description

I am selling my family’s 2010 Honda Pilot 4WD Touring SUV. The VIN number is 5FNYF4H8XAB019273. This is a one owner vehicle. The Pilot current has 117,500 miles on it.

The Pilot was manufactured at Honda’s plant in Lincoln, Alabama. According to the window sticker, its parts contents are 75% of origin from the USA and/or Canada. We bought it new at Hendrick Honda in Charlotte, NC on November 5th, 2009. This has been my mother’s car, so it has been driven very gently. She has kept it garaged day and night since she bought it. It has never been smoked in.

The overwhelming majority of the miles are going back and forth between their house in Montgomery County, NC and Charlotte, which is a round trip of approximately 120 miles. It has never been used for a daily commute to work, as she is retired and thus it has not seen much driving in the city. The car has never been north of Virginia. It has been to TN, GA, and FL a few times, but never to the north and certainly not in the winter time.

We serviced this Pilot at Hendrick Honda on South Boulevard in Charlotte until the warranty ran out. Since then, it has been serviced at a certified mechanic in Montgomery County, NC. In September 2016, we changed the timing belt and water pump and changed the oil, in accordance with Honda’s recommended service schedule. This was a $1,000+ preventative maintenance visit that has just been done from which its new owner will benefit. The brakes were changed in March 2015 at 87,809 miles. A new Interstate battery was installed in May 2013. At present, I am not aware of any mechanical defect or item that needs a visit to the mechanic. This Honda Pilot does not have any warranty. We are happy to facilitate, and in fact encourage, a buyer’s independent pre-purchase inspection.

The tires are Michelin LTX M/S 245 65 R/17s. They were installed in August 2013 at 61,416 miles. By my measurement, all four tires are presently around 4/32s, so it will not be long before they will need to be replaced.

As far as cosmetics go, I consider this car to be in excellent condition. As indicated, it has been garaged and kept out of the rain, sun, snow, etc. It has not seen much city driving and has spent its entire life in NC, except for a couple of annual trips, mostly to Memphis. That I am aware of, there are three minor cosmetic blemishes on the outside: a scrape of the right front corner of the bumper, a small rock ding in the windshield, and a small crack on the right rear light cover. I am not aware of any cosmetic blemishes on the inside. The seating and carpet are in excellent clean condition. I can state unequivocally that the car has never been in an accident, has never had any paint or body work done, and was been washed and waxed regularly.

We are selling the Pilot simply because she got a new car.
