2003 Honda Civic EX Sedan 4-Door Description
Up for sale is my son's 2003 Honda Civic EX Sedan. The car was purchased from thesecond owner (his cousin) in 2012 who owned it from 2006 and maintained it well.My son purchased with 158,000 miles and the car now has 246,000 miles. We have done all the regular service while we have had it including a timing belt, water pump,(200k) new radiator and coolant lines, new tires at 220,000 miles. The car had a new head gasket installed when the timing belt and water pump were replaced as he was losing coolant and it was determined the head gasket was blown.Recently, the car overheated again and it was determined that theradiator and cooling lineswere all leaking. We replaced the radiator and coolant lines but the car was still losing coolant. The mechanic did some tests and determined the head gasket is blown again. Not wanting to put anymore money into the car, we have decided to sell it.
It is hard to part with the car as it runs great, transmission shifts great, tires are in great shape and brakes were replaced in January of this year. We also had the transmission serviced and other maintenance done. This would be a good car for someone who wants to do some mechanical work and probably would get another 50-75k miles out of it oncethey replaced the head gasket. The A/C needs to be recharged but compressor is working. As you can see from the pictures, the interior is in good shape but worn, there is a dent in the passenger side fenderbut other than that the body is in great shape. You will see on the Carfax report that an airbag recall is needed, it can be handled at your nearest honda dealer. We did not get it taken care of.
I have tried to be as specific as I can with regards to all of the issues with this car, has been a great car, email me with questions. Car is located in Stephens City Va. and we have a clear Virginia title in hand. Car has current Va. State inspection, good until January 31st, 2017.

Please understand, this car only makes sense to purchase if you are local, if you are bidding from a long distance away, you will have to arrange hauling and it doesn't make sense due to cost. I also, will only accept cash in person or a cashiers check at which point I will signover the title. PLEASE, PLEASE, read my entire listing before you bid on this. I keep getting bidders whodon't understand the listing.
