1997 Honda Del Sol S Description

This is an excellent Del Sol which has not been "improved" with a bunch of junk and modifications. It appears to be all original ands shows signs of excellent care by mature adult owners. During my ownership, I have replaced the transmission fluid with prescribed Honda ATF, spark plugs and wires (with the correct recommended brand and type) along with a new distributor cap and rotor (Honda). I have added two new Hankook tires for a correct and full set of four which are in excellent condition with few added miles. The battery has been replaced within the past year. The BRAKES brake well and there are no BREAKS or chips in all the glass. The windows all go up and down as you wish.There is no clickity clack in the CV joints. I have also added a new JVC stereo with remote control along with an integral CD player. The radio is XM ready.The interior and seats are in very good condition. There are no worn holes in the seats and there are no cigarette burns. There are no splits in the dash and it is clean and looks like new. I have also included a new set of quality Weather Tech floor mats which are made in the USA.The car starts promptly and runs great. And no, I don't abuse or "test" cars I own. I give them proper maintenance and drive them like I want them to last forever. You can feel safe and comfortable driving the car most any distance to you home. I have driven the Del Sol cross country and got 28-29 MPG. The car is very comfortable and reliable beyond belief.1997 was the last year the Del Sol was made and that is probably the most desirable year. Finding one in this condition and that has been unmolested is getting more and more difficult.At 68, I just can't get in and out of it as easily as I did with my first Del Sol of 15 years ago. I regret getting rid of that car! And now because of knee problems and aging, I must part with this one. The desire hasn't gone but it is time to let this one go to someone to enjoy as much as I have.
