if you gotten here then you know what this is and you probaly know what you want in a car. It's a Honda with an LS1 corvette engine in the bay, I bought this car in 2011, and ever since then I love it (and still do). I wanted to work on the body for the longest time, unfortunately being station elsewhere, I couldnt find the time to do that. Now that I got the chance, I have completed the car. The car is pretty much a beast, the paint get looks everywhere I go, the sound alone give me a thumbs up from all type of car enthusiast even bikers.
While the car was in body shop, the transmission was sent to Jason from Texas Drivetrain Performance, if you are familiar with LS1Tech forum, you will know Jason is a world renown T56 rebuilder. Jason rebuilt the whole thing, ultimately upgrade everything to a stage 2. He informed me that the car will handle up to 650Rwhp. My mechanic says the engine still run greats, all he did was replaced the head gasket and tune up. I also purchased Bilstein Coilovers PSS9, if you lurk in the S2000 forum you would know that this coilovers is the best when it comes to comfort and performance.
The car is painted Laguna blue, yes the same color as the C7 Corvette, the one that Chevrolet unfortunately will discontinue . The hood is painted a carbon fiber type design, you have to see it to appreciate the works that the technician have done. The headlight and tailight have been sand and have clear coat on them. The trunk taillight have been smoked, I did not smoked the tailight because I do not want attention from the cops. The cruise control has been deleted to give the JDM authentic wheels look, alsodeleted A/C & power steering. The front had a signature of Vaughn Gittin JR, the world champion drifter.
Now onto the imperfection of the car. The convertible top has about a 5-6in tear, not noticeable from far away but it is there. The rims have some scratches from rock chips, unfortunately this will happen eventually with any vehicle, fortunately plasti-dip will take care of the imperfection. the breaks while works great but the paint are starting to fall off, this was a project car back in the days, itdoes have a salvage title (flood I believe), however, nothing on this car is original anymore, the all the rust and panels that were damage has been fixed or replaced. That is pretty much it, I want to be as transparent about this as much as possible, I realized it is a big investment and I dont want to makethe buyerfeel like I try to hide anything.
This car is honestly the best car I've ever driven, it has given me a whole new perspective on "there's no replacement for displacement", the reason why I do not drive 4cyc vehicle anymore is because of this car. Unfortunately, being in the military, it doesnt give me the time to enjoy the car (they dont even pay me to ship the car). The car has been sitting at my parents home for the past 4.5 years. I only drove it when I am home to visit, so I probably driven it not more than 3000 miles since owning it and the transmission is basically in its breaking in period. This car can be operate as a daily, a drifter or a weekend track car, the potential is unlimited if you respect it power and know what you're doing.
I will continue to post more pictures of the car. The car is being enter into a car show in January, however if the price is right, I will gladly sell to the owner. I will facilitate with the shipping of the vehicle, however I will not be responsible for any scratches that the shipping company incur while transporting the vehicle (believe it or not while I was shipping the car, they actually scratch my bumper). You can also fly to Wichita, Ks and I will come pick you up in the car and you can drive it home. If you have question about the car please text me three one six- nine nine 2-8 three four 5, I will not answer anything technical, as I am not a mechanic, I can tell you the history of the car, and give you a little detail.
Below is the list of things that has been done, I may missed a little detail here and there.
