2006 Honda Civic LX Description

*.
Thanks for checking out this listing for my Civic. I bought this vehicle brand new in 2006. Overall it's been a good car. This car has not been in an accident. It did sustain damage to the front left fender (replaced) and the driver's side rear window (replaced) both due to vandalism.
As you can see there is a problem with the paint. I have already taken that into consideration and is why I'm starting the auction at such a low point.
This car had never broke down, never left me stranded. The only reason I'm selling it is because I was advised by my CPA to buy a business vehicle or I'd have to pay a significant amount of money to the government for taxes this coming tax season. So I bought a brand new 2016 Jeep.
This car would be perfect for someone who needs to drive a distance to school or work and needs a reliable vehicle for that drive.
The car was inspected in July (2016) I'm pretty sure. I tagged it for the max two years allowed... I will include that license plate as I have no need for it. I also had the oil changed near the end of summer and it hasn't been driven even 100 miles since.
The paint job on this vehicle is a touchy situation. Honda had an issue with Civic paint jobs during a few years and my car had an issue with the clear-coat just three years old. In 2012 I had a friend who works at an auto body shop paint the areas that were problematic. The car looked great. Soon after Honda came out with a 'recall' on the paint but my car had already been painted. I did get reimbursed for the $800 I paid to fix the paint, but within the year they closed the recall. Over the last two years the other areas now have the clear coat issue. I imagine if someone paints cars or has a family member that paints cars you can do really well and make a profit on this car. 90%+ of the paint issue is on the hood and passenger front fender. There are a couple of spots near the passenger doors near the bottom of the windows and the area on the passenger side rear body near the trunk.
The molding on the sides of the windshield (both sides) started to curl about four months ago so I yanked them out and threw them away. I asked Honda how much to replace them and it was $375? I think that covers the strip from the front windshield all the way back to the rear window. I didn't have it replaced.
The heater and AC work great. Radio and CD player work fine. All lights work. I've never had a 'check engine' light come on. The brakes and tires are in decent shape... they don't need immediate replacement.
Anyone that knows the vehicle's Honda puts out knows they run for hundreds of thousands of miles. There's plenty of life left in this car.
If you have any questions, please don't hseistate to ask.
Thanks,
Eric
